Storm Sandy - hope those in the US are fine

There have been four deaths reported in New Jersey so far, more than 3 million people on the East Coast without power, a crane collapse, widespread flooding... It depends on where you're at, but Sandy definitely has some punch. Thankfully, where I am, it doesn't seem too bad so far. However, I have friends and relatives in areas that are being affected more severely than we have been.

I dont get the paper but I do see people posting pictures on facebook about it. I live within a few hours of the places that have been hit hard by this storm but I really wasnt affected at all. Some people lost power but I didnt. There was no flooding either here thankfully. I know an 8 year old in a county somewhere by was killed when a tree fell on him. I was so sad to hear this.

It is very touching to me the way all of our Mylot friends are keeping up with the storm damage. Yes, we are having serious problems along the coast and I am sure it will take quite a bit for that part of the country to recover from this serious combination of storms.

Hello Jazel, that's a huge storm they're experiencing, but don't worry they are well prepared. but it troubles me why they are having a storm at the height of the US elections. hope it isn't a sign from GOD telling them to shape it up. but on the serious note, this is a huge storm, we might end up loosing thousands if we have this storm in the philippines. they got strong infrastructures there

I am sending my prayers as well. I have relatives in New Jersey and we can't contact them anymore because they say the lines are down. We pray that they are all safe there

Well yes u are right, we all are very much worried and i too would like to God personally that no such serious damage occurs and the Hurricane passes by safely. We have had enough of such devastation in the past and do want the same thing to be repeated again. Now since we have no control over the fury of nature, we can only pray for a positive ending. What say?

I also saw the news on television. I see, the damage is severe. Whatever happens, the important thing is to pray for each other, help each other, and trying to give spirit to rise again, and not too slumped to the disaster. Hopefully, people who are hurting, got the patience, and lessons.

hi, i have watched this in the news that partly in the US country has been experienced terrifying hurricane,because it was really wipe out all things in the road,and even trees has been ruined by this hurricane,actually i am thankful because we never experience that here in my country.
