I have been seeing many discussions regarding weight loss in MyLot. People are ready to even starve for that! If you think eating less, too much work out is going to help you lose weight, You're wrong! For many people running or jogging is a problem because of the weather. I have a very simple way to reduce your belly fat. For all those who are keen on losing weight, pay attention. While you watch TV, you must be having ads or break time. During that time, close your eyes, sit straight and pull your stomach inwards towards your backbone while exhaling. Next relax your stomach back to normal position while you breathe in deeply . The vice versa is also effective i.e. inhaling alongwith pulling your stomach inward and exhaling with stomach back to normal. I did the former one and got results. This is very easy, fits into everyone's schedule and can be helpful for all

Never knew about this. So you contract the abs the same rhythm as you breath. I will try that.

I love your idea, and tried it..it is a great idea. I have rheumatoid arthritis so the normal exercises for the tummy for me is out of the question, or I would really hurt my back even worse. I used to be one of those that worried too much about weight loss and ended up looking very sick..and was sick. I went from being almost 150 lbs to 118 within a matter of weeks..I was told I was getting fat by my ex father-in-law and that hurt me deeply..even though his character was like that anyway, actually hearing the words caused me to become angry and determined. So there I went..excessively exercising and not hardly eating close to enough..but I thought I was doing great..yeah right. Yes, I looked great for a while until my weight plunged under 120 lbs..people would look and say "man you look bad"..so something snapped in me...I decided it wasn't worth worrying so much. I have been able to maintain a healthy weight between 127 and 130..I do eat what I want. My looks have changed because of my illness though..looking tired and completely wore out, I decided if no one likes the way I look..then don't look. It is not worth it, I promise.

I saw some people have different methods so they can work out despite of their limitations. I knew a woman who lose weight by climbing and descending the stairs of her house over and over again. Then I know a person who just drinks plenty of water and he said that keeps him energized for some basic workouts. I am basically skinny and I have a fast metabolism so I dont have weight problems but I am surrounded by people who have the same problems. y parents are obese and they have struggles with their weight.

Not just on mylot, In our everyday life we come across these people that wann a lose weight in the blink of an eye. I do not believe in starvation as it can basically give you health problems afterwards. People do crazy stuffs that are unnecessary when they are desperate to lose weight without realizing that it is simply simple to lose weight as it has got to do with your conscience.

i agree with you! that is a great way to strengthen the muscles around you stomach. here in north America, it seems that there are so many people over weight and because of this, the health care system is out of order. people are spending so much money on getting thin too.

Making a plan, and following a plan to lose weight, is not bad by itself. Yet, having an obsession to do so, is not right. People should make efforts, but not try to overdo it.

I'm very much into going to the gym and living a healthy lifestyle. This is the first I've heard of this method. The only exercise I'm aware of that is remotely similar is tightening your core muscles throughout the day. You do this by holding your belly in without holding your breath. This exercise isn't really designed to be part of a weight loss plan though. It just strengthens your core which can help decrease back pain. I've also heard some personal trainers tell people that when they exercise they should hold on their core muscles like described above The reason being is that some believe if you do not you could accidentally train your ab muscles to stick out creating the illusion of a belly.
While I've never heard of this new exercise I'm glad it works for you. I hope you continue to be successful in reaching your fittness goals.

a pleasant day gary23,
with regard to your query, perhaps people nowadays are becoming conscious about their health status. and this is the main reason why they are getting obsessed as to loosing weight. indeed, it is very good to have a healthy body. as well as having a sexy and slim body especially to woman.

This is a core muscle exercise for the transverse abdominus muscle which is a deep abdominal muscle (i.e., you cannot touch it from the outside). It should be part of our exercise routine because it helps to give the waste a slim look--not by losing weight, but by strengthening the muscle to contract around the waist.

It's all about being healthy as an individual not necessarily losing so much weight. Too much weight loss can result in some health problems, some become anemic and some breakdown due to severe weight loss. I believe it's all about being fit and healthy.

Weight loss is a gruesome issue for some people considering that a lot of them do not find time to exercise. Most of people who wanted to lose weight are not that willing to spend time in exercising but rather resolve to artificial methods such as surgery or supplements.
