What the result of Low HDL cholesterol?

Today I got my medical report saying Low HDL Cholesterol about 32 where it should be minimum 40. Feeling a bit tensive about what will be result of this. Not sure what to follow to get increase this count.

I would wait and see what your doctor says. Usually people with low HDL are more likely to be at risk for heart disease. Although in today's world it is also true if you are right at the percent or higher too.
Tests will determine if you are at risk or in any danger. Knowing you are under a doctors care proves you care about you health.
Some factors that you can consider to increase your HDL level is to:
1) Quit smoking
2) Get more exercise
3) Maintain a healthy weight
Being over weight can affect these levels too.
Eat healthy and follow the advice of your physician.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i know what kind of feelings u must be going through after seeing that medical report. i know there is always a desperation to know about the medical report but most of the time we are left disappointed with its result. I think u should not be worried after the results and rather take it as a challenge and try to overcome it so that u can get the right count next time. Try to consult a good doctor and find a viable solution for it.
