I do. I don't mean the classic fairy tales but I mean comiic books like Diary of a Wimpy Kid or Big Nate series. There are also other similar books that I find truly amusing to read. I buy these for the ten-year-old kid in the house and secretly, so I can read them too. I let her read them first then take up the books myself. Am I getting senile or what? Is it weird for an adult to be reading kids' stuff?

You are not alone on this! I read children books too. My favorites are those of Louis Sachar. I have a collection of his books in my Kindle. They are just easy reads, not much big words or complex sentences or silly romances. The stories bring back the childish enthusiasm in me. The images that are created in my mind are very vivid and colorful and innocent. I always seem to smile while reading his books. My favorite of his is the famous Holes. There are plenty of subplots in that book and each on its own could make another book! Haha. Anyway, reading children books is really nothing to be ashamed of.

Hi friend, there is nothing wrong in reading kids book, so don't worry about this. I think you are very much impressed with the comics books. Some times i too read some comics and story books. My kids are in their kindergarten classes now and rarely i will take their books and read out their rhymes

hahahha it is not weird. it is funny.... I read kids book sometimes and yes they have very good morals in the kids books. Some of those who are parents have to read them to the kids so it is okay. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

Hi Riya! I don't read them for the moral lessons, but for the funny parts. Kid books are lots of fun.

There is nothing reading kid's books. Definitely, it is not a sign of regression. You are still young to have this condition.

hi cutie18f. nothing really wrong with you reading books meant for kids like 'diary of a wimpy kid' and the 'big nate' series. i read the 'diary of a wimpy kid' series myself. actually borrowed the set of my younger cousin. he has the 'big nate' series as well and i've read only one book from that series. i'm waiting for my younger cousin to read all the books and then, i'll borrow the books and read it all myself. i just think that variety in reading keeps things interesting. cheers and happy mylotting!!!

i read anything lying around the house. :) our youngest was born late so even if i was already in college then later, working, i read what my mother buys for her or what she buys for herself - tintin comics, sweet valley twins. sometimes i think about buying coloring books and a box of crayola or colored pencils. :)
