I really need to change some of the things in my life one of them being cutting back on my pop drinking and drinking more water. I want to lose some weight I really need to right now plus my husband told me if I got down to where I want to be he will buy me a whole new wardrobe of clothes. You would figure that would motivate me. After having my son 19 years ago I weighed less after having him than I did before and all I did then was eat salads and drink flavored water and no candy. I bought me this water bottle to try and help me drink more water and I think I am going to have to pull it out and get started at it again.

Water is good. I also need to drink more. I used to. I now mainly have coffee and maybe some sugar free lemonade or sugar free iced tea. And along with cutting back, I also need to do more walking. And yes I should be eating better and more salads. You can lose the weight. Just put it in your head. I started losing a few pounds and believe me, that in itself is motivation. You will feel much better.

I walk quite a bit I do that almost every day. I need to work on losing my stomach and toning in other areas as well.I will definitely be drinking a lot more water I know when I drank it I felt a lot better. I just don't want to go overboard on my weight loss because I have done that before and got yelled at by my doctor. But I felt good about where I was and how I looked so I just blew what the doctor said off.

My sister made a lot of changes and she lost 160 pounds. One of them was drinking a gallon of water a day. She said it was really hard to get used to it, but now it is automatic. She got a gallon jug and then just throughout the day she'd make sure she drank it. She also learned to like things like mushrooms and tomatoes because she knew they were healthy.

A pleasant day Tina30219,
As I have read and based on my various researches, drinking a lot of water is a must. Especially if a person sweat so much. Ideally, a person needs to drink at least 12 glasses of water a day. However, there are few rules that is exempted from here, as others can just drink at least 8 to 10 glasses a day.

Drinking more water is a great way to start. Even diet soda has been known to cause people to gain weight. Also that carbonation can make your abdominal area swell out. Also a few other things that may help you would be as follows.
1-studies have shown that eating a handful of almonds a day can help you lose weight.
2-cutting back on salt can help you lose up to ten lbs
3-eating smaller meals and snacks throughout the day can keep your metabolism going. Also it will keep you from getting hungry and making a quick mistake out of hunger.
4-try to get some protein in all of your meals and many of your snacks. Eggs, lean meats, almonds and string cheese are all excellent sources of protein.
5-studies have also shown that drinking green tea can stimulate weight loss. I've also heard of people drinking green coffee lately you might want to check that out.
6-try not to eat too close to bedtime. If you really need to make good choices and choose something light. All of those calories will become fat.
7-exercise (obviously) cross fit is very effective but depending on your current health and fittness level you might want to explore other options.
8-don't skip meals
Good luck with your weight loss goal. Start thinking about how wonderful it will be to have all new clothes.

Nothing can really compare with water. They are the best indeed and natural. I do drink soft drinks and but coffee is my favorite drink and I usually consume 4-6 cups of coffee a day. But water is essential, and I do take in around 8 glasses of water a day.

I am going to start out small and increase my amount I drink each day. I know I can do this if I put my mind to it. The hard part is going to be going down to 1 Starbucks drink a month but if I put my mind to it I know I can accomplish that as well.

Small changes often pay off big. I have not weighed myself in awhile but I am hoping that cutting out on eating out has helped.

I love water and in fact, I only drink water and milk. When I am in the mood for flavor I get 100% fruit juice. Not drink cocktail, not the misleading labels of 100% and then vitamin whatever beneath it and when you look at the side it sais something like contains 10% fruit juice lol.
All that stuff is misleading and processed. I would cut back on the flavoring unless it's all natural also. The more process your body has to work on the worse it will be because you body will try to process this instead of focusing on other conditions.
One important rule to live by to get healthy is eat foods with one ingredient when you go shopping and use your own herbs, breading and seasonings to make it how you would get it from the store. White bread is bad too, try 100% whole wheat. If you cant resist store made foods, look at the ingredients list and make sure you recognize them. If most of the ingredients are things you don't recognize, cant even pronounce, etc. then you dont want to buy it.

Good decision!
Another great thing about drinking water when trying to lose weight is that you eat less. Sometimes we think we're hungry, but the truth is that we're really just thirsty. So with that, we eat less and lose pounds! Remember to accompany it with a balanced diet and regular exercise. Also take note that losing weight is a commitment and a lifestyle. Good luck! :)
