Hi I'm back. Well I made it through hurricane sandy. We were out of electricity since Monday night we just got back our electricity yesterday. One word to describe the past few days is hectic. I had to miss two days of work since their was no way to get around. I'm happy things are almost back to normal. What about you how was your week. Did you also get hit by hurricane sandy?

Hi Mr Pearl
Thanx a lot I'm very happy I made it out okay from hurricane Sandy too. My family is safe but some other New Yorkers are not so lucky. It's time like this when you appreciate what you have. Mother nature is far more stronger then people give her credit for. I mean look how it took down New York. New york is a strong state we will end up back on top again.

Thank you Inertia I'm glad to be back. You're right although some parts of New York are trying to get back to normal there are some places that need a lot of help. It's lucky we are getting a lot of help. By my house we had a long line for gas it was crazy. Plus not all public transportation was running normally because of the damage the storm cause. New York is strong we will get back on our feet.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well glad to hear that you are back and nothing serious happened with u due to Sandy. i know what it feels like to have gone through such a situation and now since everything has returned to normalcy, u can work easily and earn well so as to compensate the lost work during these days. I want to know how was the experience of living under such terror and to be without electricity for so many days?
What say?

Your welcome, and thank you for your concern. Well what I found so difficult was getting to work and going home. One night I was incapable of going home so I had to stay at work instead. For the first day returning to work it was torture OMG. I had to walk over the bridge because there was no train only buses. When I got to manhattan so many of the buses were pack so they didn't even stop. I here stories of people walking for a long time. Let me tell you I realize how much we depend on the trains and buses. Boy am I gald that they are running again.

Great to hear you. I am very sorry about sandy hurricane in your country. It look like same with Tsunami in my country. But, we did not get supply electric more than a week. I don't know why, but all electric stations have gone. disappear from our sight. It was very horrible. I hope you and your family always in good condition.

Thanx a lot anggunmelati for your concern. Luckilly our neighborhood wasn't that affected by sandy. We just lost electricity and a few trees came down. Other parts of the city were affected badly like Staten Island and Coney Island. Sorry about the tsunami in your country. It must of really suck to have no electricity for more then a week. Yes me and my family are in good condition.

We don't live in the USA but news about the Hurricane Sandy is all over the media. It's good that you have access to internet and electricity. I've seen news of people falling in line just to be able to charge their phones or to get food and water. They say that half of New York city is still in darkness and some parts are still in ruins. It must be terrible right now. I hope everything will be back to normal in a few days time. Take care and good luck.

Thanx a lot pheenkeesh. It was pretty bad in a couple areas of the city. The line for people getting gas was pretty long. Plus people trying to travel had a hard time because there was no trains. But now as I'm writing this response things are better but still need work to be done.
