Using Mobile as modem for internet connection.

I want to use my Nokia E72 as a modem for internet surfing in my Dell Inspiron 5010 laptp using Bluetooth. I tried both Nokia PC Suite & Bluetooth Adaptor, but both failed to connect (Bluetooth Adptor is showing Protocol Error 734 ). Then I tried using my elder brother's laptop & mobile. What I found is quite weird......my brother's mobile is connecting with my laptop, & my mobile is connecting with my brother's laptop ! Now I can't understand why MY mobile is not connecting with MY laptop ! Can anyone help plz ?

you can deal with packet data in ur mobile.....

That is very strange. I once tried to connect ipad 2 with my mobile phone SVMSUNG I 9300, but I failed. I am also week about this field. I am also looking forward to some useful answers here.
