Actually it's not slang, it is called accent.
With proper/correct pronunciation the accent follows.
We thought some people are trying to pronounce it over-acting especially with non-English speaking people- but no, they are not (unless those ones who are trying hard)
In call centers they always teach the proper accent for Australian, British and Neutralized American accent- that way the agents can communicate well with their prospective clients.

Sadly I do tend to use slang because despite having been taught correct english at school I picked up the habit of slang from early childhood. I do keep the usage to a minimum, but it is instinctive to a degree and difficult to avoid.
I have conversed with many people to whom english was a second language, in which case I make a concerted effort to avoid using anything other than correct grammar.

I use slang words but not in a day-to-day basis, I only use slang words when communicating to my friends, since they are young adults just like me we understood what we are talking about and we know that it feels comfortable using such language in the same age group. However, when i am with someone who's older and mature than me. I always use a casual language of communicating. :D
