Been stuck with this problem a week from now already and gosh!!! I can't sleep during the time which bothers me so much. I can only sleep during the daytime which is really weird and worries me a lot.. Some friends suggested that I should take a glass of milk before bedtime but I am lactose intolerant and I feel nauseous every time I try to drink milk! :( Yesterday, it's around 5 am in the morning that I fell asleep and I woke up around 3 pm in the afternoon. Are there any suggestions that you guys can share? It'd be much appreciated.

my lady, Try to exercise at least for 30 mins, till you feel you are really tired. Then rest for a few minutes before taking a bath. It works for me- wish it works for you. I use to drink milk and eat banana when I am still working graveyard. but like you I am also having trouble with lactose and that gives me stomach upset. Then I resort to exercise and taking a bath- it really helps me a lot

I also agree that it could really be about stress, at least when I am stressed I find it hard to sleep too. So if there is any chance you might be stressed for some reason, I guess you should work on that first of all, it might solve the sleep issue as well!

Actually, stress one big factor here. I'm stressed with my job, my problems with my family and a lot more. Guess, I should see a doctor one of these days!

Maybe someone is thinking about you! kidding. I am like that before, actually during long weekend, like last Nov 1, it is hard to sleep because I watched to many movies Nov 1 until dawn of Nov 2. I slept at 6 am and woke up at 1 pm already. When I was trying to sleep early on the night of November 2, it was hard. I remember I shut my eyes at 3 am and during the long night I am just wondering in my bed and counting sheeps, literally.. Maybe you started a pattern from the first time and your body system followed it. Force yourself to sleep early like 7pm or 8 pm, and you need to sleep in a room that is quite. If needed turn off the light so it will be literally night mood, your brain will adjust to it and you can sleep. I tried it so many times and it works on me.

Maybe you have been always on the computer at night. Thus, your brain is so activated by the light, and sleep becomes evasive. Don't fret, but just be happy that you have the time to sleep even if it's the opposite of the ordinary, edsss. That will compensate for the loss of sleep. It would be a problem if you have a full time 8-5 work.

You're probably right, my friend. My work is to create websites and I often stay all day long in front of the computer doing my job and that's probably one of the reason why sleep is very evasive to me.

I used to be likes this are can not sleep for a long time. Some friend suggested me to play yoga everyday and meditation beford bedtime. I tried yoga and meditation every evening before going to bed half an hour a day for about one month, I was happy with the bed. Since then, I never sleep. In addition,I would also be happy, healthy and very refreshing.

There is some over the counter sleeping pills like sleepasil or sleepaid. I have used this before until I am back to my normal sleeping pattern then i stop it.

My mom is afraid if I take sleeping pills. She worries that if I take these kind of pills, I might not be able to to wake up again. But, Sleepasil is good right? Maybe I should try this. And yes, I really should reduce my intake with sodas.

There are mild pills that can help you sleep. First of all, avoid colas and coffee in the day and try to make it a habit to sleep at the latest at 9 pm. Even if you can't sleep but just be in bed anyway so you will get used to it. Also, have some exercise in the day so your body is ready to sleep at night.

Hi there, i have exactly the same problem as yours. And yeah i know how it feels to struggle to sleep and to become more stess while trying. Nowadays i try to do many activities in a day time like walking around, going for swimming, snokerling and so on. I try not to do things that can get me sleepy during day time like watching movies. It really is helping me at the moment. Try to control yourself from giving up to your sleepiness in a day time. Good luck and have a nice day x

Hi! :) My job is tiring enough and as much as I wanted to go out and have some exciting activities, I can't, because of my job. Well, maybe the weekends would do. Thank you for the suggestions. I'd try this and I hope it'll work.

Well it can be that you are thinking about something that worries you. Sometimes it is difficult to sleep when you are thinking to much about something. It happens to all of us. You need to know what to worries you and try to fix it. Other thing you can do is do a lot of exercises to make your body more tired and then it will help you to fall to sleep.

That is bad timing haha. anyway you have to try to sleep early and once if you try you can do it. Do not think about anything and just empty your mind. it works for me well. It is often that we tend to think alot and that is the reason we don't get sleep. So try not to think about anything and just lie on the bed. You will get sleep. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

Some times I got problem to sleep, but not every night . I always do two things before I go to sleep. First, I drink a glass of green tea, very bitter but it can make your body became fresh tomorrow morning, try it. And second, I always do meditation for 10 minutes to make my brain mind became stable.

hi you might me thinking seriously about something or sleeping in the day tome also bothers us, we may not get sleep at night. Yes taking a glass of milk at night might help to get good sleep. Okay if milk doesn't suit try to listen to music or read a book while sleeping slowly to go to sleep without your knowledge.
