This is an interesting point, and a very valid one. There are a lot of interactive games nowadays that concentrate on violence and with games being such a popular medium they are certain to be more responsible for introducing violence to the youth of today than television programmes or movies are.

Knee-jerk response: I agree. If it weren't for all the atheist logicians and Buddhist philosophers (etc. ) on the `Net, I would probably be a 'Catholic priest' (or a seminary-scientist/Deacon & a lady's man) by now.
But Jesus told us "It's not what a man puts into his mouth that makes him evil, but what comes out of his mouth." I.e. I blame the parents, for not teaching their kids how to be good.

Welcome to myLot iritsharma. :)
Adult and violent movies has effects on kids. According to research and surveys, kids tend to imitate what they see on tv and even when they see things in adults, they tend to imitate it too. That is why tv shows here in the Philippines always have rated PG before any show starts. Rated PG means that the show needs parental guidance.

I think it is not how movies being shown with some g-rated content makes a child violent. Since movies are somewhat a theatrical and fictional visual art, It's not how it is portrayed violently but it sees a make believe world that is inspired by reality.
I think the question of making children who watch these types of movies doesn't make them violent at all, it depends on how their parents brought up their children. Parents should always guide their children with what reality media is showing. It should be explained to them with depth that what they are seeing is a fiction and make believe world.

Yes films are getting more violent and blood thirsty and access for children to watch these movies is much more easier because of not just the internet but also the extra entertainment available through sky television and things like that.
Music is another bad influence on our children but it will never stop as money will be lost, large companies are making billions daily by corrupting the future generations.

The fact that they are so commonplace is certain to make a difference because many will emulate the behaviour. Of course there has always been violence in films, but previously the good guys were always shown to be the winners whereas today the wrong type of person is often depicted as the hero.
It does also depend on the individual and how they respond to it, but any increase of that type of behaviour is undesirable.

Because of the accessibility of almost everyone to the television and parents not having enough time to stay and guide their kids, yes, the television has made a huge impact to the younger generation. Most of the shows on tv nowadays are full of scenes that needed parental guidance and sad to say, most kids dont get enough of that.

When children watch or do something that they know is not good for them and is not accepted in society then they start to fight with others and be violent to hide such crimes. So its true that children watching these get affected by it.

Partly correct ! What they are seeing in the screen can influence their behavior . Children don't have right judgment whether what they are seeing is good or not , and applying it in real life would be just okay. Seeing these violent movies have a great
psychological impact tat sometimes children are unaware that they're already acting things they have seen. Also, it is not in movies that influences them but also real life like if the parents fight always , harming the wife or if both couple harms each other. Children are so fragile , they must be handled with extra special care !

Yes I agree with this. The parents should take responsibility to watch their children in watching movies. They should be one who will choose what's the best television shoes their children should watch. Nowadays, there are a lot of violence shown in the television and we can not help but it was being watched by the children without our guidance.Proper guidance in watching should maintain and observe.

I honestly think adult shows are doing something to our children. Parents now days are putting in a blue ray movie or DVD, rated PG 13 or even R around preschoolers and grade schoolers and aren't even monitoring what their child is watching. Childrens minds aren't as processed as ours are. They do not understand that this isn't real. Parents are doing a big injustice by allowing their children to watch shows inappropriate for their age.

There are certain kinds of movies which children shouldn't see. But I don't think it's the only reason. Kids starting to commit crimes because of violent movies are either mentally diseased in a way or have aggressiveness in themselves nevertheless. I would say seeing one or two would not hurt the kids (well, not 3-4 year olds, they can't still really tell what's true and what's right, but over 8-9), but it should be followed by thorough education, family time, talking about manners and crimes etc.

Surely adult movies might influence children and lead them to violence, but adult movies also shares some knowledge that might be useful for them in the future. It's just a matter of helping them to understand whats good and not in that movie. At least that's what I think.
