What do you think about artificial intelligence?

Artificial intelligence fascinates me as well. Every time the science discovery network happened to play about things like that, I feel giddy with excitement. It's fascinating that they can do almost all the stuff humans do and more.

It will be nice to have artificial intelligence, but not in human form. It is only robots can do such a thing. Life will be easy of having such skills embedded in the brain.

Artificial Intelligence is still something far beyond the technology of mankind. A lot of research has gone into the subject, but all the progress so far seems to be based on setting pre ordained responses to given stimuli. This may give a very impressive display of intelligence, but it fails to reach the real level of genuine intelligence. As the proverbial saying goes, we are so close yet so far away.

Artificial Intelligence is being used more with the advancements in technology and research efforts. I see more of its use in Traffic Management, Hospital Management, fields like Mining, Oil and Gas exploration etc.
