My daily poem: "Today"

Today:
Trickling through the curtains with its predictable promptness
The morning star is letting out a portion of its brightness
I'm wrestling with my blankets as I am battling the invasion
Only a few minutes more and I'll be part of this day's equation.
Oh the mystery of our breathing and the mystery of our being
We collide with all the elements to create what we are seeing
The outcome of our living becomes stimulus for a reaction
We can be the source of peace or be cited for distraction
As the day continues progressing and we continue our inhaling:
Will we be promoting God's goodness or will evil be prevailing?
Will we be holding too tightly to all that we should be sharing
This is our present challenge coming from our angels so caring.

How I wish to have the ability to write poem again. The last time I did was in College years. I might even say, I wrote it for special someone. The feeling of inspired to do such a thing. But I am glad you have the passion to make your poem. I like the way it was conveyed, the flow of inner thoughts brought into materialization.

it's never too late to start again..don't you think? I try to write one a day. I have school and other things going but soon I will have more time to give to mylot my poetry and writing as a whole . .thanks for stopping by and your kind comments...joy

what a great poem! Do you have a wattpad account? You can actually post it there. They had a poem contest before but now submissions are close and they are just waititng for the result. But you can join next time. You really have a talent in writing.
