I was just wondering that the christmas shopping craze will soon kick off. I have already started thinking about what i can buy for my loved ones. I simply love this time of year. But what are you expecting / hoping of receiving this christams? Anything in particular you would be ecstatic to find under the christmas tree?

I'm in Cape Town. My Christmas present is to myself as I always leave Cape Town to go to New Jersey where my daughter lives and where my two babas are. I am not into presents; rather I prefer an experience, and I miss them. You have a lovely shopping spree and Christmas if we don't speak again before then.... rayda

Yes you are right. This season is really very exciting because of the essence of gift giving and gift receiving. There are a lot of parties and gigs also. It is really a fun. I am not expecting of so much gifts this season because I am the one who is expected to give a gift for my loved ones. lol.

Hi there! Christmas is my favorite time of the year. Everyone's so festive and happy and giving. :) If I would just be thinking of myself, I would probably want to have an iPad 2. :) But then again, now I have to think twice because I recently gave birth to a healthy baby boy whom I love so much. So now, if I would be going back to your question, I would probably ask something for stuff and needs for my baby instead. Not that I and my husband cannot provide for him, its just that my thinking now changed.
I want to put my baby's needs and comfort first. :)
So probably something for my baby boy would be terrific! :)

I have reached an age where I don`t want, expect or recieve big Christmas presents. I`m the grandmother who gathers the torn wrappings from the floor, applaud the gifts the children recieve and make cupcakes to take for the occation. Now, all I want for Christmas is that my family and friends are happy, not only on Christmas, but every day.

Yes, I just love Christmas ...and the days before Christmas.
The shopping, the decorating, the gift wrapping and to see the happy
and surprised faces of love ones when they open the gift. Can't wait
anymore. I better get my Christmas out earlier for this year.
I would love to receive a Oversea Holiday Package vouchers under the Christmas
tree. Have not been to a long holiday, hope God will bless me one soon :)

I'd be ecstatic to find Santa under my tree...lol...
Seriously, the merchandising craze started around Halloween. That's what I don't like. I do love the Black Friday deals on Amazon. but it bothers me to see Christmas tree lights for sale along with bags of Halloween candy!
when I was young - Thanksgiving in the states officially kicked off the Holiday season. I refuse to look at anything until then. Macy's Thanksgiving day parade - and then Christmas shopping.
I would like to find a new all in one machine - Brother brand - under my tree - one of those with a scanner, copier, printer, fax, caller i.d., etc. etc. I had a good one, but it's nearly twelve years old now - still works, but with my new computer, it's so outdated - and needs new ink that is hard to find - I want something shiny new to match my computer. Plus some of my favorite sci-fi movies and series.
My son wants new stuff to go with his new gaming computer - like "really really really good" headphones...lol...and games, of course.
My daughter favors books, cds, itunes gift cards, and dvd sets of her favs.
Hubby wants to live another year. And get some favorite old movies on dvd, plus new blades for his hacksaw. Men!

I start early and get things that the family wants that they don't need right away starting in August sometimes sooner.
All my Christmas shopping is done, all gifts are wrapped and all the Christmas cards are written out.
Here they already have all the Christmas stuff out and they were doing it the day of Halloween. They sure don't waste time or wait for the appropriate time anymore. The day after Thanksgiving would be perfect to put it all out so people can enjoy the before holidays first.
I don't ask for anything for Christmas. My husband always surprises me with something special. We'll both have to wait and see what I receive once I get it Christmas Day!

Whenever I hear the phrase, "All I want for Christmas is...", I never fail to answer "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth!". I just love that Christmas song especially whenever I hear those cute little voices singing the song. hahaha. Kidding aside, all I want for Christmas is for me to be able to live a happy life this time and to serve God and others well. We often expect things in return during this time of year, but what I'm most expecting from others is their continued support and love for me. Since you asked what particular thing I would be ecstatic to find under the Christmas tree, I think if ever someone would give me a very nice phone or gadget that I could use. hahaha.

The thing I hate about Christmas is the inordinate amount of time spent at hot, stuffy shopping malls to get gifts as it were required.it really takes the joy out of the holiday.I like the idea of midnight mass.People who are catholic nad can;t afford gifts appreciate the idea of Christmas being about Christ and going to church. If they suddenly got rich, there are aspects they would not like about the holiday season, and may stick to how things were when they were poor.people who aren't poor hate the shopping aspect of the season as well.it seems most charities revolve around shopping and bringing business to the malls.
