Last 2 years ago I found my cousin in Facebook and we communicate through that social site. We exchange text message during special occasion. She lives 5 minutes drive away from where I live. But we haven't got the chance to see each other due to her busy schedules. We often kid each other- why our roads seems to keep us apart. Then yesterday- (after that surprise late birthday treat my friend gave me) We're about to go home so we leave the food court and passing through tables of people having dinner. There is this odd feeling that forced me to look back at one of the tables. Automatically I looked back and my eyes landed on a couple having dinner. The girl who is also looking at my direction moved her lips whispering my name. I don't know exactly what happened next. All I can remember is that we're hugging each other After 20 years- yes, after 20 years. At long last..... So much surprises coming randomly Have a great Monday everyone jaiho® forever - enjoying the surprises (^_^) 11-12-2012 11:44am Monday PT

Reunions are sweet During my father's wake I saw my classmate from First Grade till Second Year High School. We never saw each other after I dropped out due to being sick and transferred to a different school the next year. That's about 16 years. We caught up a bit about each other and talked about our other classmates. We remembered being seated next to each other a lot of times due to our surnames being close alphabetically. I found out he still lives and works in our town and I envied him a little. I saw him again in passing after that but I think he did not recognize me because I cut my hair real short.

hello silentwill, Exactly- it's a sweet reunion. Imagine after 20 years- we can't explain the real happiness that we felt on that moment. We just hugged each other for a moment- feeling the miss and how we really missed those years. We're not just cousin, but we're the best of friends during our childhood days. Thu we've parted ways and been away from each other, the feeling never change. There's no hesitation, no doubts and awkward moments. Thanks for the share and have a great day

wow, i am glad your friend recognized you are happy to meet you. I have sen some friends who in spite of remembering, they hesitate to recognize after so many years, i don't understand the matter at such times, they hardly give a smile. I don't understand how come you are your cousin are not in contact these many years , i mean she is your cousin and not in contact? It never happens here, we all (relative)will be in contact all the time .

hello prashu, I lost contact with my cousin when we're in college and then I got married. It is because I lived here in metro city and she lives back in our hometown. When I visit our hometown she's working in different places, thu we still have news with each other through our family members. Then, later we found each other in Facebook and since then we started communicating each other again- but like I wrote- her work schedule give us so much trouble. She's travelling a lot local and international. Yesterday marked one of the greatest day in our lives Thanks and have a great day

@riya, I have cousins whom I haven't meet in person till date. Because two of my mom's older brother settled at their wives native place- miles away from us. Most of them I only met through facebook and that's even better than not knowing them at all.

dear brother, She's my cousin and we've added each other in facebook two years ago. We haven't seen each other for 20 years since we've studied in different college. I got married and lived here in metro city and completely we lost communication since I seldom visit our hometown- and she got married too to someone who come from a different place. Though we communicate constantly in facebook and plan to meet each other- the time never give us any chance. You can just imagine the surprise and amazement in our face the moment our eyes met It's hard to explain and no word comes close enough to describe the feeling

After so long, you've reunited with your neighbor, that's great to know. It's always so great meeting people after not seeing them for a long time. The catching-up is always exciting and interesting. You'll learn a lot of things they've done over the years, and you also have a lot of things to tell them about your time.

hello front, She's my cousin. We lost contact after highschool days since we studied at different colleges. Till the day I got married and lived here in metro city. It's been 20 years and last two years ago we found each other from a common friend in facebook- that's when we've come to know that she lives near my place. But due to her work that requires her to travel a lot- our schedules never meet. Though we communicate constantly through facebook and text messages. She's one of my best buddy and the the closeness we've shared during our childhood days give us so much memories and entangled our hearts. The moment we saw each other- it's like we've traveled back in our younger days. We hug each other like we're afraid to lose each other again.... That was really amazing. Thanks for your comment and have a great day

A person meets many people in life but there are only some who leave a lasting impression in our minds There are people we can laugh with, cry with and depend on with utmost degree of faith.Friends make it easier for us to go through hardships and struggles in life. They provide a shoulder for us to cry on.Meeting an old friend after days of separation can be one of the most satisfying experiences of one's life.

hello ramkumar, I agree, people come and go in our lives. People leave something to remind us about them. Some people are easy to forget while there are people who are too special that leave spots in our hearts and mind. Thanks for the comment and have a great day

Hi Jai! It means you do not interact in persons with your neighbors and devote much of your time in on line activities, that is why you could see her after 20 years. Please keep interacting with those who are around you.

You say you that you are not a sociable person, however you take part in association's activities. I agree that some of the persons do not indulge in a regular chit-chat or gossipping and it is OK. What I understand that your neighbour happens to be your (distant) Cousin and you did not meet him for many years. At last you could see her and this would have given you a great amount of satisfaction and relief.

hello dpk, Honestly dear, in my 14 years of stay here in our place I don't know my neighbors by name. I only know them by face since we greet each other formally with a simple hi- hello and smile. I am not a sociable person along the neighborhood- but I am not a snob as well. I do attend function, like home-owners association's meeting and other activities. But aside from that- I do not go to my neighbor's house for a chit-chat. You cannot see wives along the street chatting or gossiping as well. Our subdivision is very quiet and peaceful- so you are not allowed to cry out loud Anyway, regarding my topic- she's not my ordinary neighbor. She's my cousin whom I lost contact for 20 years. We lost each other after we've studied in different colleges and we got married. I lived here in metro city and she lived to a different place since she got married from someone who comes from another place- far from our hometown. We found each other through facebook 2 years ago and we're able to communicate through facebook and text messages. but her work that requires her a lot of travelling hinder us from meeting each other. Imagine that moment- the surprise and happiness that we can hardly contain. That was really amazing and one of the greatest day in our lives. Have a great day

Wow why has is been 20 years since you saw this neighbor? That was a really wonderful surprise to go there and run into her after 20 years. I can tell how happy you were. Did you make plans to stay in touch such as exchange phone numbers? I've kept in touch with people through facebook. Without facebook I wouldnt rarely talk to anyone because I never get out.

hello shaggin, She's not an ordinary neighbor- she's my cousin (I just want to make a confusing title- that I use to do) We lost contact after we got married since I lived here in metro city and she also married someone from a different place. Two years ago we found each other in Facebook and we found out that we're just neighbors (5 mins drive from my place) But due to her busy work, she keeps travelling in and out of the country, we haven't got the chance of meeting each other. Jai sis, wow indeed you are quite lucky that another surprise treat leads to another much surprise meeting as well. Seems like, both of you must be very close to each other when both of you are still young. Have both of you exchange contact number, so able to chat again when both are free? Hope you are having a great moment talking and exchange news with your that old friend. do take care always...

hello sis She's a surprise leading to another surprise- that indeed a GREAT DAY FOR ME She's my cousin and we are very close during our childhood days. We lost contact when we're in college since we studied at different collages. I got married first and lived here in metro city and she also got married and lived in different place (to her husband's place) Two years ago we found each other in facebook and recently they bought a condo unit just near my place (5 mins drive) But due to her work that requires her to travel a lot- locally and international, we're not given the chance to see/meet each other in person. We have constant communication through text messages and in facebook- but of course meeting in person again is another thing. So, that day marked one of the greatest day in my life...after 20 years Thanks again dear sis and take care always (^_^)

hello D, She's my cousin and we're the best of friends during our elementary days. We're competing on many things during our school days (honor roll, quiz bee, sports and so many extra curricular activities) But in our innocence we never had any rivalry grudge- indeed the competition bring us more closer to each other. We parted ways during highschool days but still seeing each other on weekends (we've stayed on different dormitory) And totally lost communication on our college days till I got married. Until now I can still feel the happiness and contentment we've both had yesterday. She forgot her husband and I forgot my kids (hahahaha) Hoping to see/met each other again next week (she promised me) Gosh- she just live 5 minutes drive from me. Thanks again and have a great day
