How to choose a best answer when there are so many?

I started looking back at some of the discussions I started and some are really old! Looking over a lot of them, I am reading some really great answers and am having a hard time choosing which answers are the best! When you see a lot of great answers, how do you choose the best one here? I don't want to mark as best just because someone is my friend. I don't want to just randomly mark them. I am just having a hard time making these choices and this is why I haven't marked 'best answer' on a lot of my conversations here!

ribbon - sometimes used as a reward
Hello there! Well, only a few are bothered by the question. To answer that, it is up to you whether a response deserves to be marked as the best. But as what you have said, choosing among a lot of good responses will be a hard task as a discussion starter. As my preference, I pick the response that answers all my questions, relevant to the topic, and easy to understand. Anyway, it depends on your standards or criteria if you really want to select a best response. Just follow your heart. Have a nice day!

I haven't posted too many topics here, but I had trouble with choosing the best answers... I mean, I feel sorry for those who don't get the best answer from me, especially when everyone is really helpful and nice here.

I choose the best my weighing their answers. When their thoughts are all the same, I'll check their grammar and spelling. LOL. It's kinda hard to choose. I sometimes choose the best response in random. It is written in the guidelines that we should also give chance to others. I know we have our own basis. I still have many unresolved discussions until now. Happy mylotting.

I'm like you. I do have a lot of unresolved discussions on my list. That's why if I have the chance, I need to pick the best ones as soon as possible. Not because he or she is my friend, but what really moved me based on their replies. Marking the best can be useful to make discussions more organized and have a purpose in the future. Good luck in selecting your best answers to your discussions. Thanks

That's really a difficult one to decide. The main topic should be the one to be considered. But I agree, the answers responded by the members are difficult to choose from.

it is really hard to choose the best answer for the discussion that you have made specially when there`s a lot to choose from.. but for me just choose the one who is more honest and the most relevant answer to what you have post..^_^

I have the same dilemma. Some pof my started topics have hundreds of responses and it is impossible to select just one that stands out from all the others as the best. I have decided that I will be leaving them unreseolved when it is impossible to decide which one is worthy of special recognition. That way no-one (or everyone) will be disappointed either (I hope).

It is really possible to be getting a lot of great responses from your post. But I guess you just need to look for the response that has struck you the most.

Most people are not bothering about selecting a best answer. But it is a good practice to select the best answer. This will be lot helpful to the person who posted that answer. This will encourage good answers. The best way is positively rate all the good answers posted by users.

I haven't thought that until now. ;) I haven't mark best response to most if not all of th discussions that I had started. Well, it is just that I appreciate all who had responded in my topics
