In the winter my feet get cold when I go to sleep! I have a hot water bottle and I fill it with hot water to keep me warm for a while but it doesn't work for long. I sleep alone and I don't know how to keep them warm! Some people have very warm feet, I feel envy for them right now!
My mother has told me that she has exactly the same problem since she was very young but she is never cold now because she sleeps with my dad who has feet warm like a heater!
Do you have cold feet when you sleep, and how do you keep them warm?

I knitted a pair of socks to sleep with. If it is colder, I put on an electric blanket. I did not have those problems when my husband was alive. The poor man had to put up with my cold feet at my cold butt

Knitted socks are not as beautiful as regular ones as I make them not too tight so that I don`t lose circulation. But it`s worth it. Something else you could do is to place the electric blanket under the blankets , near the feet part of the bed before you go to bed. Then it will be warm when you go in. I`d do both this and the socks part.

LOL!
I am like you, my feet aren't the only cold parts on my body :)
Knitted socks must be warmer than the regular ones. Considering the electric blanket, I was always afraid of plugging it and going to sleep. I have given it some thought again but I don't think I would be able to sleep with one!

There are footwarmers you can buy. They work well. Here is one link www.footwarmers.org and another one with all kinds of warmers www.warmers.com I hope you find something here that helps you. Personally, I can't sleep if my feet are too warm. It heats the rest of me up too much and I get so hot I can't sleep. Or, you could take up knitting and knit yourself a really warm pair of socks! If you want to go a little hi-tech you can check out this site http://hotronic.com/products/index.html Good luck keeping your feet warm!

Wow, I didn't know that those warmers exist! I checked all 3 of the sites and I think I like the ones that go at the bottom of the shoes and last for a few hours. The second site has some warmers that work with batteries but I couldn't really understand how are they used! This is the best advice ever for my cold feet! Thanks deazil :)

Thanks :)
My mother knows how to knit and I could ask her but I will try your solution first! I don't want to put her in the trouble because she is longsighted and she will have to wear her glasses all the time and get tired! Handwarmers are also unfamiliar to me!

You're so welcome! I hated the thought of you way over there in Greece shivering all night with cold feet! I knew about the handwarmers as I had bought some in a discount store a few years ago. They worked pretty good. I figured they must make the same for feet as well. Over here there is a program where you can buy them and some organization will send them to the soldiers stationed in cold places outside our country. I was very glad to help you and was delighted when I found those sites. So you don't have to learn how to knit after all. Stay warm!
And thank you for the BR! I really appreciate it.

I always feel cold in winter. I need to keep my electrical warmer with me so that I can feel better. Of course my hands and feet are all cold. But you may have heard that cold hands but warm heart So it doesn't matter that our hands and feet are cold.

This problem is common in cold days. The winter is so bad, i dont like it, have to take so many precautions in this season. Better wear socks and shoes while going out and at night.

Sometimes it's inevitable to go outside with the cold, then we have to be very well prepared! Sweater and warm jacket is necessary for sure! I also wear gloves, scarf, an elastic body that keeps my lower back warm and sometimes I might wear tights under my jeans!
I think I need 10 minutes to undress if I decide to go to the bathroom because I am wearing so many layers!

Wearing socks might help but I don't feel very comfortable with them and some times I take them off in my sleep! The next day they I might wake up with one sock and the other on is somewhere in my sheet or on the floor. I want my feet to be free but I will try socks again because I don't want to get sick because of this!

WE don't have a heavy winter in my country, the coldest month is usually January. It might snow as well! I prefer warm weather but it's beautiful to be able to witness all the seasons of the year!
I hope you'll have the chance to travel around during the winter to experience everything! :)
Cold feet is one of the disadvantages, but there are also many wonderful things about winter!

I think we need to take care of our body especially during winter, we should keep our room warm and keep a heater if required. I too feel the same i get cold feet at night, so i cover my body with blanket so that i feel warm.

We haven't turned on the heating yet because we're trying to save some money. I have a very warm duvet that I bought when I was a student and it's the best for sleeping! But my feet get cold anyway! It's the same since I was a child, my mother has this problem as well!

i suffer from cold feet, i work a lot out doors and this time in my country is particularly cold so i am outside all night and when i get into bed i am usually cold. This can be down to poor blood circulation and thats why my feet are cold, my girlfriend hates it when i come home and rub them on her and wake her up.

It is said that when your hand and feet are cold then the whole body is freezing too! I think it's true, when my feet are cold I won't feel good until they are warm again. But for the night there aren't many things to do! Some people have cold feet and some others are warm and cozy when they go to sleep!

mine would become colder when i will not cover it with blanket. in order to keep it warm during cold nights, i used to wear socks and never leave it without cover. so that is my solution to make it warm. so you may try it. thanks for this :)

I also cover my body with a very warm duvet, it's too cold to sleep without one! Wearing socks was never my favourite but if they're going to keep me warm I will try them! To be honest, I have worn socks sometimes and I take them out in my sleep so I wake up in the morning without them!
