Moving on without my parents

This past July was one year since I lost them man I call Dad and this Oct I lost my Mom 4 days before giving birth to my 5th baby. I expected it to hurt when they passed but what I didn't expect was to feel so lost when I've been married 21 years now. When dad passed he lived with me and even now when I'm setting the dinner table I often find myself grabbing him a plate. Every new thing the baby does sends my to the phone to call my Mom only to hear that the number I called is no longer in service. I never realized how mush even as an adult I reached out to them and how big a hole their passing would leave in my life. I guess this post is to try and find others that have had to move on after losing their parents to find out how they did it. Or maybe I just needed to talk about this. If you still have your parents or even just one of them, call them or go see them. Tell them how much you love them and if you are fighting ask yourself if it is really so important that you are willing to lose this precious time with them.

In fact, that is most fearsome thing for me to think. I was wondering how it felt to loss one of them. Could I survive without them? Have a great day!
