Before my friend helped me see that people Will want to help , I would just listen to music. But now I talk things over with my guy and my honorary brother. When I had my heart broken , my friend said Not to listen to sad songs. It would make me worse.

Yes, some sad songs make up more sad, and want to cry.
I recommend some romantic songs, or piano songs, with just melody.

I agree with you, there are more choices to release sadness.
And we have to stand up later after the sadness.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well when i am sad, i try to keep myself engaged in some stuff or the other so that my mind gets diverted and i get out of that sad situation. I also sometimes listen to music when i am crestfallen as it is like a stress buster for me. I make it a point not to talk to anyone during such situation otherwise i would vent my anger on someone for no reason and in the process hurt someone's feelings.
What say?

I have to say it is very difficult to control our mood and temper, especially for women.
Keep silent is a good way, but I think vent the anger out is a better way, so having a friend is important, not the family member.
Sometimes I talk to old friends for comfort, because they are more mature.

When I am sad, I also like to talk to someone. But If I am alone, I will listen to music.
Watching comedy of course it is good way to release pressure, I sometimes watch Tom and Jerry, or other Cartoons.
Sometimes I would make a call to long distance friends.
Thanks for sharing anyway.

Hi Mickey2win,
When I am sa and no one to talk, I listen music and also go on facebook looks to the links posted on my wall and go on surfing profiles of others. Or go to links of jokes which make my mood fresh and start to work.

When i am sad i do talk to people but mostly i listen to music or sleep. I do talk to people when i'm sad but i don't always want people to know i'm sad so i don't talk much when i'm sad. I just like to listen to music or sleep.

When I'm sad, I usually play computer or PSP games. Some music makes me more sad. There are times that when I am sad, I talk with my boyfriend. I ask for his opinions and advice. At the end of the day, I will feel glad already.

When I'am sad I prefer to talk to some one. It can give us a lot of feedback and hopefully we can exit from sad mood. Hearing music can be done to, it's like a self contemplating but we have to really careful of choosing the music that we want to hear. I prefer to hear slow jazz music without vocal when I am sad.

When I'm sad, I will usually put some of my favourite music on and cry if I need to. It's not very good for you mentally and emotionally to bottle things up. If you do that, then things just build up inside you until you explode one day. This happened to me once and I had a breakdown. And take it from me, you really don't want that to happen.
I like to listen to music that speaks to me personally and that is Green Day, who are my favourite band. Their music has helped me through so much in my life and I know that when I need it, it will always be there for me! I find it more helpful than talking to people because I don't want to burden others with my trouble.
