If the doomsday prophets will have you believe ,we basically have about a month left to exist and then ..POOF !.goes the magic dragon.so i think i ought to tidy up my room a little..it is so much in a mess. don't want to go the the creator if HE is there in a state of untardiness. HI GOd i apologize for coming to you with a lot of dirty laundry undone..dirty laundry being the metaphor for the the sh..tty things we have done in our lives which if we could, will gladly undo.but if we really do only have about a months left ,well that is hardly enough time for me to sort out my bleak financial situation and go spend it all before i turn to dust.
What if it doesn't happen ? Well hey ..! ting ting..! That will mean that i do have enough time to do what i wished to undo, seek forgiveness from a buddy whom i had a falling out with..make amends with a family member that i disagreed over some petty issue that is not even important but coz of that we are not speaaking. give some toys to the orphanage or an anonymous contribution to a charity close to my heart,i need to feel good about myself, and i should not have waited for the doomsday prophecies to trigger my conscience.
But i will mainly wait for it to happen at home where i 'd rather be than anywhere else, and when the moment comes and goes i'll have a reason for celebrating a new life . Already prepared myself for that prospect with some celebratory booze and a planned party on the exact night. IF it does happen ,well bye bye MY lotters and the world. Think..what will you do when the predicted date comes ....and goes ..or not!!

I think this end of the world thing refers more to a transition phase of some sort. That is, lots of things will be breaking down and drastic changes will be there. I have been experiencing this transition phase. Quite a lot of my beliefs have been questioned. Lots of painful experiences. There are quite a few people who are experiencing it. It basically refers to drastic changes in life. I am all set for the new world. And so should everyone be.

Ahhhhh...now you've got it. Most people think the end of the world is predicted. That is not essentially true. What is predicted is the end of life as we know it, which can be intepreted in a lot of ways. The prediction also goes on to state that the changes will be for the good.

I am old and have been around for about 3 or4 ends of the world. I don`t remember that anything changed so I will not do anything. But because I believe in other endinds, I`m trying to have as much fun as I can under my circumstances.

That is true! There were doomsday predictions that did not happen. The thing is the more "extension" we have, the end is still gonna happen. With the current overwhelming heat of the sun that gets hotter every year, do you think the world could last forever?
I would like to take every prediction seriously. We do not know what is gonna happen and I do not want to panic once it turned to be true.

The only sure thing is that we are all going to die someday. And even the banies that were born today will die of old age before the sun gets so hot as to burn us alive.

There is nothing wrong in believing that it might happen. We are not hearing this from only one man who believe this happens every 2 or 3 thousand years.
I don't want to leave myself in doubt if this is gonna happen or not. I will prepare myself on that date go to the place he told us we can be safe. Read the bible and it will tell you where that place would be.

I really really hope that if it does happen ,it will be quick, and we won't have to burn or suffer or anything to that effect, like ..whooooosh...and it is all over, in an instant ,i abhorred the idea of going slowly in agony towards eventual demise..even more horrible to contemplate it on loved ones..Banish the thought..!! Think my troubled spirit is egging me to have an insurance policy from the almighty...PRAY HARDER and more consistently.!

YOu have such a good preparation, hope you invite me to that doomsday party. Yes, time to say sorry for those you have offended even to the mylotters LOL, just joking. Have peace with your family and wash your laundry quite well, no blotches on whites and no bleach mark on colored clothes.
Personally, I believe that the end of the world is individual phase. It is my end of the world when I die, and so with everyone else. That is just my belief. Now, when and how it will happend, I am sure no one can predict it. No one knows, maybe tonight when I sleep.
So when I log in tomorrow it does mean that it's not my end of the world yet. Good for me i still have to wash my dirty laundry too.

Well end of the world or not , still have to clear some dirty laundry, make sure the colors become brighter, and the whites become whiter, whitewashing the dirt and removing stains as much as possible in the one month plus few days before the deadline, would like to smell nice and dress in cleanest clothes with as less stains as possible in clothes as well as in conscience.Doubt i will be able to clear some tough stains in my life towards some very personal isues of the heart ,but think i should at least make some attempt.

Yup who needs the stress ? when we have a choice to be joyful or miserable. it is so obvious a choice on what our inclination is.
today when i sleep ,it marks the end of the day and when i wake it is a new beginning, thankful for that daily as i wake up from my slumber.

Oh no, not another end of the world. I have actually lost count of the number of times that someone has used some ancient reference or astronomical data to predict a date when the world will end. It seems odd that these predictions never seem to set a date in the distant future that would not affect anyone alive today, but always seem to be imminent.
Amazingly there are always people to believe this nonsense, although they do tend to become a little sceptical the day after the predicted end of the world. I have to admire the conviction of those who make such predictions because the proof of living the day after does not deter them, they simply find either a minor flaw in their calculations or a missing piece of important data and create another date, often not too far away.

hi b ranwmc for me its just another terrorist threat. I h ave heard this one many times in my 86 years. So I am going to live more until I die and not worry about the doomsday predictions. I still will follow the golden rule
and love my fellow man like I do myself. other than that I plan to keep on mylotting and having fun. I spent to many years not having fun its time for me to enjoy life and live it to the fullest being kind to others alwa ys.

i don't know who i despise more. the terrorists who bomb kill and maim for their ideals and in the name of their religion and their hate for perceived western imperialism and greed which is their stance or these internet fear mongers, the other type of terrorist who spread fear spurred on by greed, all in the name of a few bucks!but yet there are really those who truly believe it is going to happen , and they will not be pacified till the day comes and goes uneventfully. these guys are more scary when they spread the doomsday prophecy around for they really are convinced it will come to pass ..

I guess nothing is permanent, everything changes, everything has an end. Life as we all know it would eventually be lived for a time and the inevitable would surely come. So, if anything comes, so it be, but when it happens, no one can tell. Just live your life...

I don't really know if I believe it or not! I talked with my grandma about it when I first heard about this and she said she cannot even count how many times she has heard this in her lifetime!
So, I am thinking it most likely will not happen. I am not worried because I know where I am going when and if it does happen... =)

There are always idiots telling the world is coming to an end. I don't believe it and never did. On the other hand: mankind made quite a mess of this world so one could wonder if they deserve to stay any longer here. Forget about your room. Better take care of the environment I'd say.

I'm Catholic and the church tells us that God is the only one who knows when the world will end. Not even his angels and saints know. We should live each day like if it was our last. You never know...............

yes, people (most of them) are excited about it. I am not at all worried. We have to go one or the other day. So no worries at all, what ever happens ,we cannot stop it. I am not prepared too.
