What gives more excitemernt, mailbox or inbox?

It's been a long time that I haven't received any formal letters from Mr. Postman. Looking back from the past years, there is always an excitement of looking into the mailbox. I am not saying that the inbox from email is not the same thing. In fact, it is more convenient, letters received that fast and replied into it immediately. But the manner of waiting in the mailbox gives more thrill of waiting a letter, since it takes time for you to receive it. How about you?

Well, honestly speaking I don't get any mail on my mailbox, maybe once in year. On the other hand my inbox is always has a mail on it, it maybe personal or just simply spam, but still I got a mail. So I must say the my inbox is the one that gives me excitements. No one sends me letter or O don't really gives my address co's hubby and I always move to other place co's we don't a place yet where we can say permanent. I felt sad when you say that your mailbox does gives you excitements co's my don't give me excitements but rather scary feeling because mail in mailbox means bills. So funny but real true as well. So I just give the honor with hubby to check our mailbox. hahaha. thanks for sharing!

I am more excited to MAILBOX. MAILBOX: Not just mailed letters, but can also be packages and other stuff, like telegrams and all. INBOX: just correspondence for sure, like letters, memos(LOL), chained emails (GRRR).

Shavkat, it is always exciting to get packages whether it is from someone else or opening the package of something that I bought online. The kitty likes to play with the package boxes, and sometimes the packaging materials. He would gladly make a mess out of the styrofoam peanut if I let him. He loves anything that will make a noise. It is so cute when he jumps into the boxes. No matter the size of the box he will check to see if he will fit. Even if he does not fit, he likes to scratch on the outside of the cardboard boxes.

mavic, that is so true it could be a package in the mail. I do enjoy it when I receive a package in the mail. Here in the United States it seems like fewer packages come via the traditional mail. Generally if I order something, it will arrive via UPS. Then, I will have a note on my door if I was not home to go retrieve the package from the office.

It was exciting right, packages are also one form of sending through traditional mailing system.

Yes, you are right, it has been years since I received a letter sent by post, especially international post! That was another era in a way, as it was my old aunt who sent me letters and even books that way! Her letters were hand written, of course and I am so used to typing, that I have almost forgotten what it was like to hold a pen to write and I even have problems with my own signature! Yes, it was kind of exciting to hear from all those relatives that have no access to computers or the Internet these days!

before the internet / social medias / phone-messages.. i used to look forward to the snail-mails.. now.. i dont - mainly because i know only bills / flyers / bank statements / or 'unwanted printed materials' will fill up my mailbox... but 20-yrs ago.. me and my best friend would go to the Post Office - buy the latest edition of stamps, and mail postcards to each other - just because we each wanted the new stamps with postage stamps on it - wierd, eh?.. i collected stamps until then - after that... i kinda stopped... i still have my stamps collection - but me, and only me appreciate them.. no one else in the family does..

That's the only thing that made the mailbox, to catch the bills. It is sad thing, you haven't tried receiving letters through it.

Inbox are the modern way of writing letters to somebody however, nothing would beat the traditional air-mail :) I love the fact that from this new generation there are some people who prefers using air-mail as their means of writing... I love how it gives a personal connection to the person you wrote with. because it gives you time and effort to compose your letter. rather than modern emails which you can send and receive in an instant without having your own personal touch to it such as signatures, personalized prints, fonts, etc.

Well I guess nowadays mailbox is becoming less exciting as most that you can received from there are billing statements for utilities and seldom do you get anything like a card or a letter from someone special. What people do nowadays are emailing since it is fast and more reliable to connect with someone special. Technology has lessened the time to communicate with people far away from them. Mailbox is slowly becoming obsolete now. I do not expect anything special in it anymore since most that I receive in here are billings and the like.

when I was a kid, there was no internet (of course) and I loved the mail-- even when I never got anything. Now, I like the internet for mail-- I almost never mail anything myself (because the U.S.Postal service is mediocre). But my mailbox is exciting, because I do a lot of surveys. I end up getting to try a lot of products, and I get git cards and checks and things. I don't think I have gotten a piece of real mail-- meaning a personal letter-- in...I'd say over 6 months, since my son got booted out of the Army for an injury. I get packages from companies, and gift cards, and checks and bills and catalogs, magazines--but not letters.. You know, until you posted this, I hadn't even thought about that! he was the only person who ever wrote to me Huh.

I am more excited in receiving mails delivered by our mailman. I think that they are personalized and with a touch of love. But I really haven't received a mail from a friend or a loved one for a long time ago. The only letters I received in our mailbox are usually state of accounts/billings.

How many letters have you written to wait for receiving one letter from the postman. We have forgotten the Art of writing letters.Start writing and you will be getting more.So write letters often to get more letters.

It reminds me of the song "Mr. Postman". Yes, it is really exciting to wait for the physical mails from the Postman. I am still thrill when the postman with his motorcycle stop and put the letters in my mail box. I will quickly run to the door and open the mailbox. Sometimes I received cheques, letters, festive cards ... It is really a joy indeed. Email is also great as it is efficient and paperless.

Mailbox. Though snail mail takes a while before it arrives, it's worth it. Plus, the wait builds the anticipation and excitement. And the fact that the person exerts some effort to write the letter and squeeze some time on their busy schedules just to drop by in the post office add some good points.
