Ever encountered your article or piece copied and posted by Other Mylotters?

For me it would be disappointing that somebody copied contents of what i shared here in this discussion site. however, it that person had copied some of my works and put acknowledgement as me as their source then it would be fine, but if they just simply copied and pasted my work without giving me any credit, then that would mean sanctions to them.

Guess my discussions or comments are not that great because I don't think any one has ever copied anything I've written! Guess I'm one of a kind. I've seen discussions started that are similar to mine, but worded differently.

I never had an experience like that before. Been here almost three years, but if I can see some of my topics being copied by other mylotters then it would be fine for me. They might have something in their mind and it would really flatter me if they will rewrite it with a twist.

Not that I know of. I am not sure as well. But as what STOUTjodee has said, maybe our discussion or posts are not so good for others to notice it . Well, it's their conscience that will be eating them, that's if they have one, and not mine if they are doing this. I just hope they will be able to justify their posts if they ever try to copy and paste it. As for my feeling if this ever happens, I will really be angry and will report that someone if I ever found one stealing my ideas.

No, I cna't say that I see my article posted by other mulotters. But, I saw users who post topic with same idea as mine. I'm sure that is a simple coincidence so I'm not worry about this.

Hi jai, I can't imagine just only to have a discussion or something to write about they have to copy from others? It doesn't make a sense so far I did not saw anyone who grab my topic and I hope no one too.

I have seen both my own posts and those of others copied and pasted on here. I report and I do not message the user. I did meesage some of those whose posts were copied and I told them what was happening. Anyone who is incapable of typing their own words here and relies on copying those of others is not worth the air that they breathe

I have not seen anything I write being copied , it would be foolish for anyone to copy and post something here without even leaving the credit source . I never copy anything anyone have done because I know that is a violation .

i guess mine can't be copied that easily because mostly are personal experiences

That's one of the reasons why am no longer making good quality topics the way i did before. it's for that specific reason that our topics would be copied by some one and mylot won't be answerable for topics being copied to other site, you can only report that plagiarist article to the admin of that other site. but that depends if the admin on the other site would believe you.

Jane beti Well i have not faced any such, but i see articles by some with minor alterations, just wonder why they don't write their own? Hugs from Dada

hi jai, Look like noone ever reads my responses to copy paste. However, now i got to know that we cas request the loter not to do if he/she is in the friends list. I have seen many posts with a similar heading or the same subject and both looks like people have copied the post/ or rather i should say Mylot has many creative writers who can use your heading and topic and write their own/ start their own discussion.

hello there, in our country a senator calls it the highest form of flattery,when an article is copied without asking permission from the writer.

Not in a long time. I have had someone here copy one of the discussions I had started some time back like about 5-6 yrs. ago. But I am sure there have been people here in the past who have copied things and got caught doing so.

Copied as in a copy paste job? No I have never seen that happen in my five odd years here. But yes ideas on the same topic with same views have been created. Knowingly or unknowingly one would never know. I have seen many of my friends discussions and my discussions with same views but different wordings come back here after some time.

Jai sis, so far i only encountered a few discussions which seems familiar with discussions that my friend started a few years ago. I ever reported a few similar discussions but not sure whether they are being deleted or not. It is because i seldom visited Mylot recently. So, i can't remember which discussions are similar to those old discussions.

I cannot say if anyone has copied any of my discussions. If they did they might have posted them somewhere else on the internet. I don't start that many discussions and when I do I try to make them interesting. I also work with other sites and sometimes I re-write something I have written here and post it somewhere else. But it is my stuff. I bet some people here and on other sites do copy and paste.

hi jai, Well I don't encounter a person who really copy the topic I made but I think I encounter someone who almost had the same topic I had to think it was a personal experience that I made and suddenly that person also experienced the same this not happened only once I just laugh about and pity that person. miss yah

Jai, good to know that no one copied your articles and posted it here. Some times we are unaware about the persons who are copying our topics. Once i created a topic in mylot and one of the replies is identical to my topic, in fact the mylotter copied the part of the topic and posted it as his reply, may be he thought that i don't read the replies i reported about the member and the reply was deleted. Once i got a message from EC admin stated that one of my article is identical to other person's article and it was deleted due to it. I am sure the another person copied my EC article and posted it in his blog, i send a message to EC admin with date proof after that the i published that article again, it is really hard to find this kind of copy cats. May be some one is using your work too without your knowledge
