This is the part of the years that many people just love. For me, isn't so special because all the charm of the holidays disappear. When I was a kid I can't wait for this part of the year, but now, the only good part of this is a vacantion. But, I still waiting the presents from Santa. So, you do you expect to get? You were good this year?

Well, i don think i will be getting anything since it is a custom in my family not to give things to people as presents.Only good with holiday is resting at home and hopely not bug by house work like gardening, painting , fix light bulbs, toilet bowls , leaking paips and such. End year and new years weeks are not good for me , since i don like visiting relatives and such.

I think I know what you mean, when I was a kid it was kind of like a magical charm that I lost somewhere along the lines while growing up. I really don't expect much as far as gifts, I don't ask for a lot of things and have more fun spending time with family and friends. I've found out there are more things important enough that cost nothing that makes the magical charm return. I'm not sure if I was good or not this year, I guess I have to ask Santa or wait and find out on Christmas morning!

Hmmmm... its difficult to expect something from Santa Claus if he's not real and so, I better ask God to give me something rather than from Santa Claus because God is real while Santa Claus is not real.

I am not expecting anything at all. I used to expect but then I realized it's not really good for one person to expect somehting. In the end, that person will probably end up feeling disappointed so expecting won't do much good. That's just my opinion of course.

when we were still kid we do believed in santa though he really doesn't exist. our santa is really god whom we are making wishes all the time. for me any reward from santa will do since this whole year is full of sacrifice in my part. as long as Im going to be happy its really OK and it doesn't matter what will be it.

I really do not expect much anymore, i think God has been good to me and my family. Perhaps i just want peace for everybody and for everyone to just be loyal to their partners and i hope no one gets hurt anymore due to being deceived and all. :D he he quite an expectation but i sure think life is so much beter when people do love each other truthfully and faithfully.

I'm not expecting anything since my kids and I have decided only to get gifts for the kids in the family. The kids alone will cost us a lot of money that none of us have. Yes, I was good this year...lol...

well i got a BlackBerry playbook in October from my hubby because it was our 25th wedding anniversary, so i have been already told that i won't be getting anything for Christmas(except from our daughters).

yeah, i know that i have been good and nice. so i expect something really nice from santa. i may not be a kid anymore, but i still want to wish for something which i deserve. i am not going to ask for something that is highly impossible to be provided. by asking, i am motivated to work more to make what i ask for a reality.

I've been a really good girl this year, but I know that I'm really not going to be having too many presents under the Christmas tree this year. The reason that I'm not going to have many presents under the tree is because of the fact that we have had a very difficult year financially. That really is okay though because next year is going to be a better year and also because I am going to get the great gift of seeing the joy on my children's faces on Christmas morning when they get their gifts.

Nothing. We don't have a Santa in my country, we do not celebrate christmas with presents either. So if he exist I hope he will not knock on my door. I planned a pyama day for me and the kids (they love it) on those 2 days (yes 2 days: Dec. 25 and Dec. 26). Visitors are not welcome plus I will surely not cook. I am really looking forward to those 2 days.

I don't really expect much to receive anything on Christmas however, for my children I have somethings to give and to my husband too. But, I always have a wish and pray, that is good health and happiness for the entire family.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well glad to know about your aspirations from Santa and i hope from the bottom of my heart that it is fulfilled. I can understand your feelings that u are no more enjoying this occasion but then u should forget every thing else and start to get drench in this festive mood and expect all good things to happen with u and your family. i know the festive mood is definitely missing but we have to celebrate it personally with pomp and show. What say?
