A friend of mine told me, her cousin was a paranoid, he would bought a bunch of stuff, like canned foods, and bag of rice in case of disaster. Sometimes, she would call him crazy, or paranoia. But when I thought about it, he might simply prepare for the worst to come. Ever since the Storm sandy hit New York and other states, we also afraid for the future disaster might come too. It is always wise to start preparation on some point. So, did you ever develop your own disaster - preparation plan?

hi,
actually there are times but very often that i will panic especially in earthquake, sometimes even in fire, all my important papers are only in one place and bag so that i can easily drag it when there fire at home,in flood i don't usually panic because my place is not that floodway.

I really don't have a plan in place. I do have a lot of stuff for every day for a couple weeks worth of food and stuff but in case of a disaster, I don't have things like ice or batteries and water.
I know a couple people that are afraid of 12/21/2012 and have set things up "just in case" I kind of admire them in their preparedness but what happens when nothing happens and life goes on and on and the stuff expires?!

If that counts as a plan if I'm gonna run as fast as I can, then I have a plan :D. Otherwise not. I mean, if there was gonna be a disaster, we're going to hear about it, and I have time then to get backups of food and paper goods (like tissues and tp)...

since Im here in the Philippines we always make sure that we are all prepared for calamities. you see our country is prone to storms and typhoons during the rainy season. I always make sure we have the basic materials prepared like flashlight, foods, candles and lighters, water to name a few, being prepared is the best move when a disaster is coming.

I haven't experience preparing anything but its better to be prepared than not. It's not only that we have to prepare material things but we have to prepare ourselves to avoid panic.

Not yet, but it is better to have preparedness, because we can't expect disasters they come suddenly and cause lot of damage to us, so to these kind of hard situation being prepared is well appreciated. Your friend got a very good idea.

I don;t think that we can really be prepared for disaster if it does comes our way. We can think now of what to do then when things like it happens what we could not totally d all those when it strikes. At least now all we could do is... learn some technique on what to do it does happens.
