Hahaha yes we were all fearless. When we booked at the hotel for the party we said we do not want the usual food during parties. We are so glad that the hotel do offer new ones in the menu. It is one of the best hotels here in my city..
so we had this bonchon - a chicken dish with some spices in it, you can really taste the spice and i love it actually but my sisters in the group said they do not like it because it is a bit salty lol but it was fine for me hahaha. Then we had this pasta dish - i really forgot the name it was like french or italin but it had spices in it too i could taste the basil, it had shrimps and clams in it too..yumm! then we had the uso buko, a beef dish with coconut milk in it i believe and curry - so i guess that was like malaysian style or indonesian style i am not sure but one of it. lol.. then this lettuce wrap dish with beef and bean sprout in it.. and sauce it was good! i love the dessert part where we had this tropical bar, all fruits are there you just have to pick and put it in your plate then get a scoop or more of ice cream - strawberry and then put this milk and cream mixture! Yum!!! uber perfect for me! hahahaha
so are you like me when it comes to food? because i am

Hi jazel_juan, i love food and i like to eat. But i cannot be fearless, because there are certain food that i do not eat. If i go travel to certain countries, i would be quite alert of what food the are serving. This is because certain country have certain food which is normal for them, but not really for me. For example, some people eat cockroaches, beetles, worms, scorpions, centipedes, rats, dogs, snakes, and many more...
However, i know how to search for good and delicious food. And i love it very much. I like to try new restaurants serving foods that i like, such as Western style, Arabian food, Chinese cuisines, French food, and many more. Yummy!

i enjoy trying new types of foods. i don't often get the chance, but when i can, i do try them. my boss just recently bought us all Thai food and having never tried it before, i was quite eager to try some of it. i loved it! i would love to eat it again but unfortunately, hubby doesn't like to try new foods so that is why i don't get to do that very often.

I love food, and I love to try new foods. As long as a dish doesn't contain something that I don't eat (I don't eat meat, but will sometimes eat poultry or seafood), I am likely to give it a try.

Mmm those dishes sounded absolutely mouth-watering! a beef dish with coconut milk sounds yummy. Yet normally I am not that adventurous with food, I would actually try it providing I didn't know what it was! I remember once a girl invited me round for dinner and she had cooked especially for me but didn't tell me the dish or what she was cooking, when I started to eat it, it tasted a bit rubbery, when she told me it was squid I nearly choked!

First of all, I am drooling right now, thank you very much!
Anyway, in most occasions, I would be brave to try and taste dishes that I find new to me. I am adventurous in this field, and I like it when it's spicy as many foreign recipes usually are. I do have things that I believe I could never have the guts of trying and these are those exotic food that involve insects and other unusual meat such as snakes, bats, etc.
I so envy you for having the opportunity to dine and enjoy that kind of party.

I do love to taste different kind of foods as long as it looks nice.
One mylotter who is very dear to me loves to eat so we do try a lot of cuisines.
We visit food bazaars and taste new and interesting foods for experiment and experience..
We're like cookie monsters...

I am also not afraid to taste new food. As a matter of fact I would like to try eating exotic food. I am not like the others who are so picky with the food they eat. For me, as long as it is edible, I will try and eat it. I was brought up by my parents in a way that I should be able to eat anything that is put in the table. We are not allowed not to taste any food that is new to us. They said, it is one good training most especially if we go to other people's houses wherein there might be some unusual food. We should always be ready to have a taste of it.

hi,
yes that is true, when there are some food that are rally new to me,i usually taste it first before i will eat many of that, sometimes i have fear to eat the food of Korean and Japanese because most of their foods are hot and spicy and i hate that.

I really love tasting new dishes (as long as they aren't insects or something gross like that). I'm an experimenter type of person. Sometimes I would even taste a dish when it looks really weird... like once in a Chinese restaurant as a free dessert, we got something which looked like chunks of solid pudding floating in some stewed fruit juice (if you don't know it, stewed fruit juice is kind of "blurry" looking, not as stark in color and taste as true fruit juice)... it really looked gross, moreover, I would say disgusting... like how juice and some dairy product come together???... but I tasted it. It wasn't bad.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well that is really great to hear that u are very much particular about food. I think we should be otherwise people would deceive us. I think it was better that u mentioned everything clear cut.
Even i am very particular about food as i am a foodie and love trying out different cuisines. I am glad to hear that u had so many dishes that day. i am sure u and everyone would have enjoyed munching those stuffs.
What say?

Hmmmm.....
I eat only the stuff I am used to. I might add a bit of variation, and try new recipes while cooking. But, while dining out, I always order the most familiar stuff.
