Did you hang up on me?

I kept getting calls from a phone number. I mean in five minutes I got called twice, and I was like, really now? They didn't leave a message and so I decided to *67 it. I called, found out it was degrees.info and asked them to stop calling. This lady started to interrupt me and so I said "please just listen." I THINK but am not sure, she hung up on me. I called back, told them I'm sure she hung up on me and for them to stop calling. The guy kind of chuckled when I said I was hung up on. Well He thinks it's funny? Whatever. If they call back I will give them an ear-ful. Unsolicited callers annoy me. So who ate all the fudge?

I am assukming that degrees is a company or something. I have had this happena few times, to the point where I left the company (as I was calling with a complaint). I'm sure it can happen sometimes, also my friend use to work in a customer rep and after so long it would hang up (like a time limit for you to make commission). I keep getting calls from this one number, and if you pick up its a horn sound, then a machnie recording saying this is your captain you won a trip to such and such. I cant figure out how to get them to stop calling me, I was going to call my cell provider and get them to block it.

Yes it's some sort of college place. I got an actual person so I don't think it has anything to do with it automatically hanging up. Now I am also getting a call from some sort of political thing and it's annoying me. I have straight talk, not sure they block numbers or I'd do the same. I don't know why I keep getting random places calling me.

The do not call list only works for 6 months then they are back calling. I am not wasting my time with it again. I would call them and complain, tell them to stop calling you. I would get so annoyed with them repeatedly calling.

Ricki - you can report these calls by going to http://complaints.donotcall.gov and following the instructions there. Recorded phone calls can always be reported. If you have it blocked, I would still recommend you report them to help others and to possibily prevent other companies from doing it in the future.

Oh, I hate that!!! If they call you back, when you tell them again to take you off their list, ask for the name and employee ID number of the person you are talking to, be sure to tell them about past phone calls and what has happened, and that you will report them to the Federal Trade Commission if you receive another phone call. Write it down, along with the time and date that the phone call happened. I have found in the past, in these types of situations, that when somebody has to give enough information about themselves that they can be identified and the Federal Trade Commission is mentioned, you will get noticed and the calls will stop. Good luck!

I will have to remember that for another time, I am hoping they wont' call back. I've had several times where they just kept calling and calling. My philosphy is if you don't get a call back, then don't keep calling. They don't leave messages. I've had a little over a month ago where this company kept calling non-stop and I finally had it with them and called back to find out who they were.

I was recently looking at the National Do Not Call registry and learned some new information. I knew that if you registered your name on their registry for a certain length of time (31 days) that you could report any unwanted phone call after that, except in certain circumstances. What I just discovered is if you receive recorded phone calls instead of live phone calls (I absolutely hate these!) you can report these whether your name has been on the registry for 31 days or not!!! I was always under the impression you had to tell them to take you off their list, or you couldn't do anything. That's one reason I hated the recordings so much, I felt like it was a cheap way to get around this law. I feel better now.

I do not know who ate all the fudge, but hubby and I ate way too many fresh out of the oven cookies. With fresh coffee. He had a sugar crash and was in bed asleep before six. I hate unsolicited calls, and do not answer them on my cell phone as I pay as I go. On my home phone I am likely to hit the "talk" button and leave the phone lying there. They can possibly hear my computer, the typing. Sometimes I let my cat that purrs funny sit beside it, and drool.

When I bake cookies they are always gobbled up quickly, usually by myself. Fresh coffee and cookies sounds delicious. I love the coffee that sheetz has, I get the cake batter kind. In any case, mine is unlimited so I can call back. I hadn't thought of just hitting talk, finding out what it is and then just sitting it there though.. That may get the message across a lot better, perhaps also if I turned on the t.v. or radio. Country music blasting in their ear.

That is quite rude, they did call you twice.. I also get calls like that, some don't even answer and just hang up on me.. I can't call them back though..So when they do all again and not answer, i just hang up on them.. maybe just kids having fun.

These weren't, but it is a possibility. I have a cellphone with unlimited everything so I call back, and if I have to keep calling back to get my point across, I will. However, the more I call, the angrier I get.

Yes the degrees.info was and I told them I was not interested when I called back. Some services like this leave a message, this one did not.

Be stern in your communication to them. Tell them to put you on their DO NOT CALL list. And remind them coolly but strongly, that if they call you again, it will be reported to the concerned authority. That might help you out.

I am polite, unless they continuously call and then I get quite irate. They do not like to deal with me after that.

Be careful about calling them back. Sometimes they do that so you will call back and then they can charge you for it.

I used my straight talk, it's still considered pre-paid and it's unlimited everything. If they could charge me they would be getting a very nasty phonecall from a payphone and they would not like it at all.

I think that the person who hung up on you was very rude and why did the other person laugh? What does this say for professionalism? nNo professionalism at all with this company. If there is anything you can do to complain to the company? I rarely experience this or if I say no to them they are courteous to me. Haven't really had a bad experience at all.

It's one of those .info sites. They don't really have to be nice I guess as they are basically telemarketers. Yes it was still rude, but I can't be sure she did indeed hang up on me. They've not called back yet so I guess I've been taken off the list. If they do I think some of my Scottish anger will be coming out, and they won't like that.

Not me It amazes me sometimes the people that call for telemarketing. I had a guy call me from westinghouse trying to sell me light bulbs and telling me the ones I have were hazardous even though they were the energy saving kind too..they were different. $20 bucks a bulb he was trying to sell. I told him I wasn't interested..I should have just hung up. I can't remember what he said but I asked him if he talked to all his customers like that and he said he wasn't talking to a customer..he was talking to an idiot!!! I bet he doesn't sell a lot of lightbulbs for westinghouse.

I don't know who ate all the fudge, but I'll take a brownie if you have one :-) Have you ever thought about registering for the do not call list? If you are already on it, you could call the phone company and complain about the number that keeps calling you.

I really find it astonishing you take the time and trouble to find out who did call you plus you even called back twice. Why do you take all that trouble? Just because someone hung up on you? Personally I don't care if someone does, I am just happy nobody wasted my time. This beside of the fact I answer number not shown or I do not know very rarely.
