Flojo Made A Nest In The Tinsel

There I was, happily dressing my Christmas tree when I heard some rustling going on.
I'd already thrown my cardigan onto the settee as I was having one of my hot flushes, so that was strewn, along with the tinsel I was about to use. I'd put some silver tinsel on but there was some red and more silver..er..underneath the cat when I looked round.
Therefore I couldn't finish the tree off.
She led there purring for quite some time before voluntarily moving off so I could finish the tree.
Here's a pic of her getting comfy.

That is as it should be. I have three cats (all sprawled on "our" bed) who agree that this is the natural order of things.
Just make sure she doesn't try nibbling on any of the tinsel. I have a tape nibbler and a cord chewer, so I know too well about cats and their tendencies when it comes to such things.

Thanks for the advice but she chewed for about 3 seconds and that was that. The Chinese tat survived lol.

I thought Flojo was a bird, I asked about it in the other thread. Still I go for it that a cat be given the opportunity to have its nest under the Christmas tree. Just try to harmonize your tree and the cat's nest. You know what I mean. Happy Christmas Day in advance!

Well, to start with, she wouldn't let me anywhere near 'her' tinsel but, after about 10 minutes of kneading, she moved away by herself. Still, it was entertaining while it lasted!

That is sooo cute! Where I lived with my ex partner we had 4 cats and the youngest Octavia was a right pickle when it came to decorating the Christmas tree, she thought she was helping, as soon as the ornament was put on the tree if it was within her grasp she'd paw it and pull it off the tree, so it took decorating the tree twice as longer, well we decided to have a break, when we returned there was no sign of her, it was only when we gathered up the empty boxes that the decorations were in, that we found her in one all snuggled up, fast asleep, decorating the tree was definitely hard work for her!

Haha! That's taking 'helping' a bit too far, isn't it my friend!

Well, there's a Christmas card in the making. Just a little cropping to focus more on Flojo, but your red throw, white sweater, and silver tinsel is all there.
When I started reading this, I was thinking of the long stingy-type tinsel and was going to warn you about her ingesting it and getting all tied up inside. Still, watch out for any that comes off the garlands.

That's me stingy! Haha! No, I'm far from that to be honest.
That's not a white sweater either, it's Flojo's er..furry cover she lies on.

She is really a mischievous cat,or she was captivated by the tinsel. How adorable Flojo is! I think the picture certainly didn't flatter her.

Yeh, she does look kinda cute..and at home somehow in all that tinsel. It certainly looks better on her than on the tree.
Haha!

You see where the red cover is in the corner there? If it's a bit ruffled up she will buy her nose into it. Next time she does it I shall take a photo of that as well. So cute!

My cat likes to play with the plastic grocery bags that I bring home. She'll play with another toy (a length of yarn with a tassel on the end) and hide it in the plastic bag and then rustle around and fight the bag in trying to find the yarn string. I don't have to buy expensive toys and such as she has such fun with the homemade version.
She does have a catnip filled mouse (that I refill) that she'll throw and chase all over the house usually in the middle of the night. She thumped around with that night before last and came to my bed talking about something to try to wake me. Dunno what that was about but she rarely does the 'wake-up-and-see-what-I'm-doing' thing.

Awwww how cute! Flojo has been known to play with the cardboard tubes the toilet paper goes round (what on earth are they called, my mind's gone blank!) but she's not into catnip at all, unfortunately.

This is why our tree is very bare these days compared to how it used to be in our pre cat days! They love the tinsel and drg it off the tree and spread it all through the house. We just compensated for the lack of tinsel with more baubels which they just paw at until they get bored, which is not long.

I am good thanks Jane, hope that you are doing well too.
Things have been crazily busy here for the last few months, so I don't have time to get on here much anymore. Plus I have been getting more motivated on building up my Youtube channel with videos, so I have been playing around more in that area with any free online time.
Yep, i know what you mean with dogs. They see you eating and want some, doesn't matter what it is. Cats only become interested when they smell meat that they like and are hungry.

Hiya Bill, how are you? Well, I hope.
I do prefer cats to dogs. We were at a party the other week and the host's dog wouldn't leave me alone as I happened to be sitting next to the food (I needed somewhere to put my glass) and it's something that really winds me up with dogs. They ALWAYS seem to be 'hungry' unlike cats, who will eat when THEY feel like it, thanks very much.
