Mission and value

This is great activity for the students. It is teaching also the values of "team work" and "cooperation" not just being the best graduate. They are taught that life needs cooperation and team work to achieve the best results in all endeavors. For this I give 10 licks.

what a nice question! you and your students` team have made useful things, which should be learned by every organisations around the worlds, especially high school and university. It can teach us about "teamwork spirit".

That is great experience for students to do this, especially when it is structured where every student has the opportunity to speak out and can also learn from others, it gives them confidence too, this is great opportunity for them to take this into the workplace, where they will meet many challenges. I wish this had been set up when I was at school or college.

Hi, Good to know about your team and its vision, values and mission. I work for a corporate based in central India and we have a vision to be the largest and most admired media brand enabling the socio-eco changes. I feel the students need to have inspiration, motivation, team spirit and continuous /effective participation in each activity. You can set short term goals initially and work towards it. Also since its year end, ask everyone to make their own vision and mission for themselves – individually as well as for the whole team. Cheers !!

Basically, a certain company should have mission and goal. It is the foundation of what is the company role in the business world. Followed the construction of organizational structure and formulate its function of the employees.

Mission and value is two different things but they rely on each other and cannot be seperated. In your student team, it is good for them to have their own topic and present to others in the team. Through this way, they can have eighty topic as you said there are 80members in your student team. Through sharing, they will improve gradually and learn how to share with others. Improvement is the value they get. quite good.

talking about mission and value is a great things when you start making a team...our company have a different team nationwide,different people we meet.its amazing if you can communicate different people..our mission is to open the doors of opportunity and prosperity by empowering our distributors to achieve financial idependent and economic stability by maximizing the wealth of the market thru our products and service.Our values provide as a breadth for our actions and describe how we perform in the world...your mission and value in your student team is awesome.it really help to cultivate everyone's mind and share whats they think about.

You have indeed a worthy mission and value statement for your members. I have worked at places with no mission or value statement or people were working for their own interest instead of working as a team. When you all pull together, then you can all pull each other up. I worked at a grocery deli where we were given bonuses if a boss saw us provide very good customer service. This store was proud of their customer service which is great. But, in the deli, the perishable food was being left out and not put away in the fridge when needed because we had to stop what we were doing to attend to the customers. The food that was being prepared was left on the counter, sometimes for several hours, when we were busy with customers. It was great customer service, but we were serving them food that was not all that safe for them.
