Making a right decision in life is very important whether choosing a college course for yourself, choosing a right career and company to work for, choosing the right parther, or choosing a place to live or choosing a business to put up. It is a choice to make. However, it must be right. For believers, they make decisions by lifting them to God and pursuing the will of God in their decisions and their lives. Sometimes, people made a decision that seemed right for them but it turned out wrong. Have you ever made a wrong decesion in your life? How did you overcome it?

You are absolutely right. We have to make due diligent, to ensure
that we make the right decision especially in major matters like
marriage partner, business and career. As a believer, I prayed and
submit to God. If it is the God's will, may it be done. I at times
ponder whether I have make the right decision so far. I think I
have make a wrong decision by buying a town house in nearby state.
Reason being the price did not appreciate much.

Yes, sometimes I ponder to if I make a right decision. I think one should consider everything and factors that affect our decisions. Most of all, we should pray and ask God for His will and wisdom regarding decisions we are going to make.
Thanks for your response.
God Bless

Good morning, Are you serious??? Of course I have many wrong
decisions but I don't feel like that make me a wrong/bad persons.
I am not perfect therefore mistakes are certainly going to happen.
I pray to God on a daily basis to help me make the right decisions
in my life...I still don't always make the right decision even at
this stage of my life...

I did not mean that making a wrong decision, one is a bad person already. My point is that sometimes some people made a wrong decision. I, myself is guilty of it as well. However, if one made a wrong decision in life, one can learn from it and make the person mature in life.
Have a nice day!

I am as imperfect as anyone else. And I have had my share of wrong decisions. I have caused my parents some heartaches and headaches. But I am happy that everything is moving on smoothly so far. Friend and family played a big role in helping me overcome all my stumbles in life.

When we admit to making a mistake we learn who our true friends are. They do not condemn, do not make points, they simply help us through. In this siutation we are able to think objectively and learn from our mistakes. If someone judges us we are naturally defensive about our mistakes and that does not help us at all.
You have some decent people in your lives who love you, it is much to be thankful for.

Sure, we all have! We need to weigh things and sometimes our thoughts are not clear or we are affected by others or we don't know what we want! Then we make a bad decision! I prefer referring to it as better and worst decision for us, not right and wrong though because these are different from every person's perspective. What we ahould all learn is to accept our bad choice at the time and try to make good out of it by moving on.
I can't think of any bad decisions that I have made right now, sometimes good things come in the long term and if we move on from them we might balance them with a series of better choices. I am trying to do that every time something unfortunate happens.

We always make a right decision. In all the issues, concerns and problems we encounter and if decision making is necessary. That's why that is our decision because we know that it is a right one. . Now as to matter whether it is right or wrong depends on the outcome of the decision. If the outcome is favorable to what we expect then we make the RIGHT decision, otherwise, we made a mistake. The results of the decision validate its value. If I made a wrong decision in my life?.. it is nothing but normal, we are humans and so we make mistakes. For believers, they are tested for another puzzles to solve. Yes, I made a wrong decision, and how did I overcome with it? but not dwelling and thinking about making it right. It was a decision in the past, and we all know that we can turn back the hands of time. I don't dwell on it, sob on it or get angry on it, it was me who decided on that no one else. In other words, make the best out of worst. Make the moment perfect and not to wait for a perfect moment.
this hurts the most. When I decide on something, someone contradicted it to another direction and I believe to this someone, and it will turn out as the result that my decision is right all along. I can not blame this someone on a wrong decision because I still decide on it as my own. I could have not listened to this someone.. grrrrrr...

So in conclusion, YES ALL DECISIONS WE MAKE ARE RIGHT, unless the there is an unfavorable outcome.

I have ever made a wrong decision. I quit my job to follow my boyfriend. I just graduate from college. He got a new job and we have four years long distance relationship. I care little to my career. Just resign and go with him. When I came this new place, it is very hard to get a job related to my major. I am still jobless. I cannot blame anyone since it is me who made the wrong decision. Maybe I should wait and work in the old company first. Regrettful.

I think taking up a wrong course in college has been the most wrong decision that I have ever made in my entire life. I regret doing it because it is now affecting me...affecting my future and my career in life.

hello there,
indeed, it is really crucial to make a decision. it is not how big or small your decision is, hence, what will matter is the result or the output of what you have done.
in my part here, i can say that i have already done a big wrong decision. and that is when i chose to redirect my career path for my family. since i want to be with them so i have decided to redirect my path but, to my surprise, they are much better when they didn't see me. aside from that, they always asked me before if when will leave again. and it really feels hurt.

I made decisions 10, 20 even 30 years ago and now I'm beginning to see they were wrong. Sometimes the error doesn't show up for many years. Now my decisions are proving to have been not so good in the long run. But I can't change the past. And because I am so much older now it is too late/not possible to start over. There are some small things I can change, but not enough. And as Mavic has said above, all decisions are right unless the outcome is unfavorable. At the time, the decisions I made seemed to be so right. My future was bright. But now I see had I chosen another route things would have been better for me now.

well we are making decision everyday from small matters to big and we cannot say every choices we make is correct or wrong. like small choices of choosing which route to take to the destination, i think there is no correct or wrong but there is just better or not. i cannot say the decision i had chosen is wrong but i may regret of what i had chosen. confuse on right or wrong but we never know when we choose and never know after choosing. maybe i think i choose the right one and i am happy with it, but who knows there may be another better ending if i choose another. for what i think the wrong decision, there are a lot and how to overcome it is base on the cases and how i would wish to overcome it. how i overcome it? i think there are a lot is not thinking about it, run away from the problems, and the really solving, i think did very less. hard to say it, i am a coward facing the wrong decisions.

Oh boy, did I ever make a wrong decision. I always wanted to go to school to be a radio broadcaster. I've been told I have an awesome voice & I like working with communications. Anywho, I didn't have the money to go to that particular school, so I changed my career mode into working in healthcare. The school I went to was no help whatsoever. I regretted changing that til this very day. I obviously made the wrong decision and wish to heck I would've stayed with my original decision on going to broadcasting school.
In a way, I haven't overcome that change, but in order for me to move in life, I'm going to have to let that go eventually. Boy, if I knew then what I know now.

I agree. Making decisions are really very important. It sometimes involve risks.
I,too, had made a very wrong decision in my life. I didn't realize it at first. I thought it was just okay. But when things got worst, I know I was making the wrong decision. It was hard for me to accept it yet I know God has his reasons. I just lift to him everything and time is my friend. I was able to forgive myself for what I had done and eventually was able to move with God's help.
Now, I don't rush and decide that easily. I weigh things. I ask for advises and guide. It helps you be on the right track, in making decision. Talk to godly friends and never hesitate to ask for help.
God bless everyone.

Oh I had been into so many wrong decisions and it's painful, frustrating, and troubling. I had to accept the consequences for not being able to finish the course I was trying to finish but somehow managed to overcome it although it's doubly difficult to do. I continued schooling when my first child was born by taking up education and it wasn't easy. I lost weight, suffered from anemia, and lost quality time for my family. But I had to endure and I'm glad that my wife provided me her moral support even in the midst of giving up. I graduated last 2004 and now working as a professor in one of the universities here in the Philippines.

Hi,
I agree making a right decision is very important. In every step of life. Some wrong decisions are taken sometimes but they should be overcome and should go to the right track. As of now i didn't make any big decisions of my life. I am still working for a good career .so what ever i decide there is always my parents hand in that. Hope they will continue to help me this way in every step.

That is why we really have to think a hundred times before making any decision especially if it concerns about our relation ship and career. Consulting others can also be a good option.
I accept that there is one wrong decision that I made in my life. However, I can not really say that this decision is a wrong one. I married at a young age. But I continue with my studies and the good thing is that my husband helped me along the way. My children are now grown ups and I have a good career.
Have a nice day!
