Why men run when a women surprises them that she is PREGNANT

Hi! In my view some of the men do not want to take the responsibility of becoming a father, specially before marriage. They probably exploit women and when any of the women gets pregnant, they disown them. But I feel those who are committed and in a serious relationship, do not shy away from the responsibility.

The reason maybe is that they are not yet ready to have responsibility or they are truly irresponsible. If those men are responsible enough they must not be surprise or go away after they know about it. Instead they are tears with joy because they received blessings...

One of the main reason why men run after knowing their partner is pregnant is "responsibility". They are not yet ready for it...(h*ll, men should know about it before going to bed with their partner) For young people, this is very much common- engaging on unsafe s*x, enjoying without thinking the result. So, the moment they hear their gf/partner is pregnant- the easiest way to avoid getting entangled with is to run away or hide. Too bad... and who suffers then?

hi, yes that is true now a days,many stories that i have heard that a man will hide or run once he knows that his partner is pregnant,actually my ex boyfriend been like that but he didn't run he only spoke to his partner that he still not ready to become a father and to have responsibilities,so i think that are the most reason why men run when they know there partner is pregnant.

not all men are the same. some men are responsible enough to face the challenge of becoming a good father. as for me, based on some of my observations, those who run away from their partners after the confirmation of pregnancy are those who are afraid of facing the responsibility. afraid enough to face the reality. thus running away may seem the only escape from them. but time will come that they will realize the value of life that they had made. time will come that they will come back for their child bec it is the rule of nature. a father will always be a father. nothing can ever change that

Actually, being young does NOT mean being STUPID. We can actually make safe and good choices for ourselves - even when we are young. First of all, women need to find men who are willing to be committed to them. So, yep, young women can make wise choices. Yes, marriage is not a guarantee but it is a commitment. Young men and women can go to marriage counseling first before getting married, I would suggest at least 2-3 months of marriage counseling. During that time, both the young man and the young woman can use their common sense and their sensible judgement to see if their relationship will be a solid and stable commitment. So, first find out about the guy, first, before any activities with the guy.

Usually men needs long time to grow up. It is a big change for them to be upgraded to a father from the boyfriend. He is afraid to take the responsibilities. This will be a big shock for them. Since they may not even get ready for the marriage, so having a child seems to be far away from them. So more men will be worried rather than surprised.

I agree with others, they hear pregnant and in THEIR minds it means life is over, stuck with the girl, no more money, no hanging out with friends anymore and no more fun. This is their opinion of course! When they think about all that they think they are losing, they run instead of being a real man and sticking by her side. They would rather have the freedom and "fun" they used to have instead of dealing with the consequences of their actions. Like I always say...If you play you pay! I think it is immature and selfish of these men to run. They helped to make a baby and therefore they should do what it takes to take care of the woman and the child!

Most men are not really responsible. Some are just experimenting, some are really happy go lucky in life. Now if a man is serious and really wants to start and build a happy family he would not be so surprised and actually anticipates it because he wants to be a father and not just a baby maker.

In my own opinion, some men are so scared for responsibility. If their partner got pregnant, they run-off to escape from having responsibility.

Some men are irresponsible. All they want is the enjoyment of being single, but they don't pay any thought if something happens to their girlfriends, what if she gets pregnant? They don't bother these thoughts... all they wanna is bury their tools. So I suggest that those girls that are not married yet should plan their life and only do things when knew they're sure enough of what their doing to avoid regrets at the end.

If woman is pregnant and man runs, this can show that man is just playing. HE does not take any responsibility even he ever say some sweet words like I will always stay with you. That man will seek other fun on other girl. They just like this life style. nobody can limit him. He just like this freedom and he doesnot want a kid to hold him.really bad, such guy.

Based On the "default", mens are functioned to spread "seeds" to make regeneration. And the women are functioned to be pregnant, give birth to her baby, and take care it. Without "bond"-ing, mens will prefer to spread his "seeds" to the other women(almost all of them), will run away. So, i suggest to give birth your child, teach her/him to make a better way of life than you. This live is not only for "love", "desire", etc. It's all about examining your heart. you got any temptation, it's your choice to make it better or worse. It's time to start a new generation respecting women rights. Not only for men's "satisfaction" like an animal. Keep yours, respect your self within doing as the "should" to live your life.

It's the burden of responsibility and in our place mostly because of culture and social acceptance. This kind of relationships, where women gets pregnant by their boyfriends before marriage and unintentionally, often becomes the talk of their town and the circle of people they know. This affects their self-esteem, and so the initial reaction for men is to run away, in my opinion.

It's mostly depend upon the person to person and also on the situation they are going to or about to face. Most men does not wants to be or like to be father before they get married but no doubt they are always ready to enjoy with the lady or with their GF. While enjoying they never think that if their girl friend become pregnant then what will be the situation in life of Girl? And when their Girl friend tell them the fact they run away from shouldering the responsibilities. Hence either girl has to go for abortion or if it is not possible to do abortion then give the birth to the child and live a single mother.

you have to take into account that the guy might not ready to be a father and all the strings attached. It is very easy to create a baby but raising ti to be a person and and a productive citizen is the another and complicated matter. some guys are not made for it while others need to get over their shock first. Also, men like to impregnate women because it is a sign of their virility but in the end,it's the woman who takes care of the kids.
