whenever i buy things, i don't really care about brands. i feel like the brand is what makes the product expensive, not really the quality. i buy things not because it's a popular brand endorsed by famous international celebrities. as long as i can afford it, it is presentable and of good quality, i'm fine with it.

We have the same sentiments. Although I could afford something expensive at times, still I would opt to something cheaper but of high quality. I feel that we should save our money as much as we can coz we'll never know when we'll be needing it, especially for emergencies.

I agree. I feel its just waste of money and the branded ones are not really of good quality. There are cheaper clothes with good quality available in the market. But some are more interested in showing their brand names.

When I was a teenager, I knew nothing about brands because my parents provides for me and they don't care about that. When I started working and hanging out with other girls, that's when I learned about brands and became very choosy about it. But as I go from stores to another all by myself, I started to discover in some small stores that they have nice and cheaper clothes and more trendy than the branded ones.

this usually is true. you can find great clothes in smaller stalls with a lower price.

it depends on the item i buy, sometimes branded products have an assurance of quality and durability that cheap products cannot match.and in the long run it may turn out to be worth the price.i bought a sandal that cost me next to nothing but it fell apart in a week, compared to another i bought ,branded , that was 7 times the price of the cheap one but after months of use, have worn out the sole from walking but still very strong. Also a pair of branded trainers that cost 10 times the price of those new ones at the street market, again ,after jogging with the cheap pair, the soles came off into my 3rd week of use,but the branded pair is now dirty and smelly and still being used after close to more than one year now. point being sometimes branded comes with an assurance of well made durability, although many have price tags beyond the reach of average folk like us , like fashion, that is where i rather stick with good ole Tees and made in China or Taiwan etc and still feel and look good, guess it is why those that can afford BMWs will get it although it is 4 to 5 times more than a Toyota. Not because of merely a status symbol, many buy them because they feel the quality is exceptional.

branded ones (depends on what you buy) also have warranty which assures you that the product can be used for a longer time.

i think that as long as you're comfortable with the clothes you're wearing, you will look good. so brands are not really that important.

When I was younger, I do buy signatured clothes. But now, I don't mind buying them anymore, I can still be contented with clothes that will cost an arm and leg.

I kind of base it on brands when buying cosmetics and hygienic products. I rarely base brands when it comes to clothes. I focus on the type of cloth and the design and see if I can make one of those than buy them. I'm also particular with the shoes because most of the time, good brands with shoes are comfortable. It is hard to find a product without a brand with high quality material here in our country.

iluvusabado I think caring about brands often is an age thing..when I was in my early 20's it was oh so important to wear brand name designers...now not so much. Now I care more about quality style and color... Welcome to myLot...

No, I just what will fit, branded or not. But work clothes are usually tailored made and not from Mall, nothing fits me there, unless I go to Pregnant section or Oversized one. which I have the smallest. LOL
