Yesterday, I was so stunned when my inbox are loaded with so much advisory of Failure to Notice. Is this is a sign of being hacked? I have the question, "Is it possible to change my email ad in mylot, if ever I change a new account in yahoo? Please do help me out on regards to this concern. My deepest gratitude in advance.

It does sound like you were hacked. But you do not need to change your email address yet. Most likely all you need to do is change your password. We have to change it every now and then just to protect the account. THat should fix the problem.

you might lose all your contacts with new email. try importing all your contacts first of all to a file.

I agree with Mac, Just make the password long with 8 to 10 characters. As lomg as he or she remembers it.

It seems yes your email is hacked, you must have to change the password of your email and change the emails of all important sites including paypal for the security. All sites allow changing the email I don't find why it would be impossible to change here.

If the hackers are so strong enough to back down my account. I will surely change all the sites that I’ve been connected with. It was really a stressful incident. Thanks

I have changed my email many times, sometimes I get paranoid, not getting any Mylot notifications, I wonder if someone has hacked my account. I am forever changing passwords too. You can never be too careful. I would also change your Mylot password as well, and never use the same password for all of your accounts. Can you not use GMail instead? More reliable than Yahoo.

By any chance do you have hotmail? I have a hotmail and a gmail account and the hotmail account gets hacked all the time while the gmail one gets flagged when the hackers try to log on from strange ip addresses. I emailed hotmail asking them why my account gets hacked so easily and also why they never catch these things while my other email has never had any issues.

I don’t have hotmail. It is a yahoo account, it was my first time to experience such. I have gmail account, it is good thing that gmail has its service to counteract the hackers moves. Thanks

Just for the record they never responded. I wasn't really surprised. I'm a huge fan of my gmail account.

The most necessary thing is you have to change password. You should not change email address beacause it's the address your friends know to contact you. Only change password it's ok

just moved your contact list and change your password... if someone had hacked your password they wont able to login after password changed..and if its happening due to various then automatic mails cant be sent without contact list...so perform both things and you are good to go.

Well it is hard to really know if you account was hacked or not unless you see some mails sent from your account that you were not aware sending it. It means the hacker used your account to send emails or you cannot access it since the hacker changed the passwords of your account. I would advice that you immediately change your passwords so that in case he already hacked in at least he would take some time to know your passwords again.

Well, yes. You can change the email address linked to your Mylot. I have made that as well, coz I thought that my previous email address has some problems in receiving notifications from Mylot. But apparently, it was just a bug.
