The place where students choose to study, the University that they will go to. The environment certainly affects how one copes up with his studies. Parents should and must take their child's decision in account when it comes to choosing a University their child would want to get into because believe it or not, the environment affects how one studies. It is a factor that should and must be thought with care.

You are right that the external factors can affect the student's life. But mind you, we need to compromise if it is not possible. Parents will do everything for their children, education is one of their responsibility. If they can not afford to pay the tuition rates in a prestige school you wanted. Then, what is your option? Are you going to curse them?

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. I completely support u on this that when u enter a college, getting used to its environment plays a vital role in the initial stage. Many students find it difficult to adjust to a new environment of the college and that affects their personal and professional life as well.
Even i had faced the same situation initially but with due course of time i also managed to make friends and became used to the environment. Being nervous initially is absolutely OK.
What say?
