To me it doesn't make any difference whether it does or not. I'm hear mostly for the fun of it. I like to hear what other people think about things. I rate all comments that I feel deserving whether they are comments on my postings or on the postings of someone else. However, I do not rate any posting or rating that I do not think worthy of this site. If you have an opinion on anything that is posted we would like to know about it and if we think it deserves it you will get a + rating. I do not give - ratings unless I feel the response is gross or unthinking.

actually mylot has deliberately kept it vague. with all the rumours floating around this forum, everything is important to earn something. which is I feel a nice way to keep people going at it, coz if people knew what exactly it was that earned you so much $ then thats all people would do. so by keeping it vague it kinda ensures that everyone does everything- ratings, answering discussions with no responses, making your response atleast 4 lines long or 100 words long, giving comments to all responses you receive, etc etc. the list is endless. I havnt even figured out what the figures in brackets next to the user name means or implies. the number increases everytime i respond, well most times, but otherwise also. so its all a big mystery and thats the way its meant to be, I think! so keep trying whatever you like, banging away at the keyboard and hoping you are earning something

The goal of the DRS is to help keep the quality of myLot discussions as high as possible for all members. myLot members should rate discussions, responses, and comments based upon quality and usefulness. We are very excited about the DRS and encourage everyone to use it. The DRS is factored into our proprietary earnings algorithm, so this will help us properly reward valuable contributions to the myLot community."

Whether it does or doesn't shouldn't matter. You obviously have a good topic going here lol. And that gives you more bling....

I think that rating brings some cash to you but mostly it helps the one who posted the comment that you rated. If the person sees that you rated his comment with a + he will become interested in helping you and so on.. :)

HI,IT ALSO denotes your earnings ,but along with that...referals earning..photos..responses go by you..also counts in earnng..

Your ratings are turned into the money you earn, I don't know that math but it works together.

To me rating is no way concerned to the money. It gives quality of the member in evoluation further. The more you rated will be a cushion for the future mistakes or consideration of authorities to waive you from embarassing positions. So don't think of rating give your opinions frankly and get best answer opportunity.
