Sharing the birthday cake

Hello everybody,
Yesterday I got my third birthday cake.
I waited patiently for my mom to bake it, I watched every move she made (just to be sure she creates the perfect birthday cake) and when she finally finished it she invited some friends to taste it.
I couldn't believe my ears! I thought it was all for me! I didn't want to share it with anybody! Oh... well, my mom and dad could have had a small slice each, because they were nice to me.
Lucky me I had tasted MY birthday cake before anybody touched it.
My mom caught me in the act and took some pictures so now you can see me eating the cake. (I wonder why she wasn't mad at me - she usually gets mad at me when I eat something from the table.)
Unfortunately, the doorbell rang and the guests arrived. I had to share the cake with them. I didn't do that gladly, but they were nice and brought me lots of presents.
Would you accept to share your birthday cake with anybody?
Signed,
Binne the Airedale.

My lips are sealed Binne. And yes, Penny and Ciara turned 3 on November 22, right at the beginning of when I got sick, so their special day came and went before I knew it..

Thank you carmelanirel. And happy birthday for your girls (mom used to say the three of us are about the same age)
I wish I had three cakes (though this is about to happen). I'm afraid my English was bad and I didn't say it right: I was talking about the cake I got for my third birthday. Is this better? (please, don't tell my true dad that I speak English so bad, he's a native American and I wouldn't like to embarrass him)

Aww... You are very cute, Binne.
It can be quite difficult to have to share one's cake. Well, at least the guests brought you presents.

Well, I live with three cats, and none of them would be eager to share treats. But they are good kitties, and they do share with each other. They want for me to remember to share with them more frequently, though.
I will have to see your tale of your new toy.

I am glad to see there are people who think like me. It really is difficult to share the birthday cake.
I can't tell you how glad I was the guests brought me presents. They were overwhelming, Didn't know which one to play with first. But I chose the green thing over all others. (see the previous box to see the green thing story)

I wonder how come your cats like to share treats with each other. The only cat I know is the cat that lives with my mom's parents, and she doesn't like to share anything with me. Is there a secret to make her share treats with me? Will you teach me?

Thank you, Yoyo. You seem a nice person. If you were closer, I would have invited you to taste the cake. Of course, you were supposed to bring something for me, you know? I think this is the way people tell they like each other. Some bring presents (which is a delight) and others give them cakes in exchange (that's a delight, too).
The guests were only two legged. I know them all and I love them. But - and this remains our secret - I would have liked mom to hide the cake before they came.

I thought there was somebody at the door and I closed the message. (I don't want mom to catch me when I use her myLot account)
I wanted to answer you, hereandthere, too. Mom and dad were too busy with the guests, and nobody thought about taking pictures with the guests. But I think I can show you a picture of one of the presents I liked the most. I liked it so much that I licked it and licked it until I started to chew on it. Now there is only half of it left. Mom told me that I'll make green poo if I continue like that. That scared me and I stopped chewing on it.

It isn't normal for you to use your mom's Mylot account. I'll tell her what you do when she's not at home! You, naughty dog!
Why didn't you tell everybody how you ate the "B" from the cake? Everybody may think your mom and I are cruel persons and you are an angel, but the reality is different.

There is nothing wrong, but you must tell everybody how "evil" you were yourself.
Maybe, if you will share the next year cake with me, I won't tell your mom.
What do you say?

Thank you, Sjvg1976. How did you find out it was mom's birthday also?
I was talking about my birthday, not mom's. I had a birthday cake, mom didn't made the cake for her birthday (YET!).
I don't know if she wants to share HER cake with you, but I was not too glade to share mine. Have you brought anything for me (or for mom) in exchange? Huh?
Signed,
Binne the Airedale

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i can understand your situation and at times we become selfish when it comes to sharing things and it is obvious to happen with u since u would be sharing your birthday cake.
But u can ask your mom to bake two cakes one for u exclusively and the other meant for the people who would be coming to your house but baking two at a time is strenuous and i think u should manage at least for the sake of your birthday.
What say?

Well, I wanted to keep it as a secret, but now that you mentioned it, I'll tell you: mom did baked two cakes. A small one, only for me (she said something about healthy things for a dog's diet) and a bigger one - the one I had to share with the guests. But I thought the bigger one was also only for me. I ate the small one in a minute. It was delicious, but I wanted to eat the second, too. Mom always says I never have enough food. And you know it is true. She always keeps the food box closed and give me only two cups at a meal. I could eat ten times than that!
