Nowadays, the use mobile phones are very essential for the people. If I am going to ask you, can you still use a mobile that is too basic? I know that the mobile phones upgraded from time to time and the demand for the consumers are very high to have the latest featured mobile phones.

no I like basic phone since it is handier. You can put it out in the public without any worries of being snatched from my hand. I can talk and send sms in public transportation and I can just put it on top of my table while having a coffee without any fear of losing it. I am much secured with my an old phone. Unlike my phone now I am so frantic every time i am out or went to a place. I did not buy this, I just got this for a challenge, where I was able to solve. LOL. nevertheless, I know the price of this phone so I don't use this in public areas. I don't feel a shame of an old phone.

I would definitely use a basic phone if I had to. I started out with a basic phone, and I still have it around just in case something happens to my phone now. Some people spend 100's of dollars on upgraded phones, and I personally find it somewhat ridiculous. As long as I'm able to talk and text, that's all that really matters to me.

I do like living in a modest lifestyle. It doesn't need to have the latest features of upgraded mobile phones.

The type of phone one uses should depend on ones needs. If a person uses the phone only for making and receiving phone calls I dont see why the person should be ashamed of using a basic phone. Advanced phone should be only if one needs it.

Hi! I am a basic phone user and I am not in anyway ashamed. First of all, it does what it's supposed to do. I had an xperia smartphone before and I lost it. Haha. I almost cried when I lost it. That's why I don't buy expensive phones anymore. I did buy myself a tablet. Besides, I noticed before when I had a smartphone with me. I couldn't concentrate at work because I would always check updates on twitter and facebook.

I think there is no matters to get shamed for using the basic phones. Mobiles phones are used just to meet our needs and it is not show it to others. Months before I was using a simple basic phone with the capabilities to message and call. I don't feel anything shaming while I use it.

Hi friend, there is nothing wrong in using a normal or basic phones, i don't feel shame in using a normal phone, but we are living in technology world and need in connect with the internet for various purposes, so i am using a phone which is having online facility, but my phone is not a smart phone as well as i am not a technology addict. Some youngsters are thinking that updating their smart phone based on the trend is a social status, but their attitude is not right

I have the most basic of basic phones possible. And I am very happy with it. It doesn`t even have a plan but I buy a prepaid card for it. I use it to call a taxi when I need one, to call a friend who is not at home just to say a couple of things. I belong to the pre cell phone era, when you used the phone only if needed.

I have a landline and non Smartphone mobile phone because I can't afford a Smartphone. Plus, I see no need for it since I am always on the computer at home.

I really don't mind using one. In fact, I still own a few of them and I sometimes use it, too. I think that the most important think is we are still able to use something whenever the need arises.

I am actually using a Nokia 3310. Well, I have lots of them. I am a cellphone technician by profession and have handled different models of cellular phones but my actual phone is one of the basic. I am not actually ashamed of using this kind of phone. I think that a person's choice of phone would depend in his personality. For me, I use my cellphone mainly for sending SMS and calling. Other features of the latest cellphone we have at present, I don't normally use them since I am also into photography and so I have separate high end camera and I am in front of the computer almost the whole day.

I still have a mobile phone, that's pretty much all I can get right now. My phone can only call and text people. I would love to get a smartphone but it's very expensive and I'm not sure how useful it would actually be, and I barely use my regular phone anyways so no need for me right now to get a more complicated phone.

I do have a very basic phone too. I got it free when I bought a lappy before. It’s been more than 4 years already with me and it is working just fine. But I normally leave it at home and using it as my roaming phone, just receiving messages. I don’t feel the need to carry it with me all the time as I have two more phones which I need to carry with me everyday. One is my smart phone while the other is another basic phone which the company lets me use as I needed it to call colleagues, suppliers or customers for any urgent matters.

It is a good thing to be not that conscious of having basic phones. I find it cute for some people who used it. Some of my friends are laughing out of the basic phones, but I am proud to show it off.

Well, I'm one of those people with just a basic phone. Of course both of my boys are in their 20's ,so they feel the need to have the latest models. As long as they pay for it, who cares ,but not me. I'm still not in love with a cell phone and I enjoy doing other things in life.

I ave no problem with using one as long as it does what I need it to do, make and receive calls and send and receive text messages. I even opt for some basic phones at times because of the lifespan of the battery. I use one now that can go on for 4 to 6 days without recharging while being used a lot everyday.

Personally, I think buying the latest thing out just because it's the latest thing out when what you have works fine, is a waste of money. Also, that newest thing out is probably going to be out of style within a year. Are you going to keep buying each year just because it's the newest thing out?

No, I will not feel ashamed for using a basic phone. My cellphone is not the latest trend in mobile technology and I probably will not buy a new cellphone until the one I have stops working. Quite frankly, the new cellphones are very expensive. I am not going to spend over 300 dollars on a device.

It is fun to have the basic phone. I do make joke of using it sometimes, playing the ringtone with my hand moving in a circular motion; then claiming it has also sounds like the high tech gadgets in the market.lol
