I knew that all of us aware that life will end on December 21, 2012; as proclaimed the famous Nostradamus' prediction. Lately, news are spreading like fire in e-netwoks, local or national news that the prediction is connected to the rising of Korean pop singer who sang the Gangnam Style. For some reason, if the prophecy is true; then we need to say good bye to all. I vividly remember, in year 2000 the same theory had been broadcast to the public. It is evidently untrue, since we are still alive. Way back then was not that so viral to spread the news. Some people are not aware. At present, some people are starting to panic and others ignore it. How about you guys? Are we going to start saying good bye to each other? We don't need to spoil the Christmas season, let us enjoy the moment without being worried so much.

I have heard of Nostradamus of course but I hadn't heard his prediction was for 12/21/2012; the one I heard for that date was the Mayan calender ends then. In any case I don't believe in either one. The only one I find plausible is that in several billion years our sun will go nova and that will destroy the Earth. I can only hope that if mankind survives that close to that long without wiping each other out, they will have come to their senses and started using our resources toward saving some part of the human race by creating generation ships to travel to other solar systems.

You are right, I'd never heard about this Nostradamus prophecy, only one I have heard about is the ending of the Mayan calendar, and supossedly that one only refers to the end of an era. I have doubts about the Mayan prophecy because as far as I know, there written language has never been completely deciphered, I'm not really sure of this.
As far as believing in this kind of stuff I really don't think anybody can foresee these events, but of course we will know if they were real or not depending on IF there is a Saturday.

I never like to wish my life away, but in this case I do, roll on December 22nd, so we can put this world coming to an end fallacy in the past and forget it once and for all!

I agree with you. In fact, I have a song to go along with how we should be living--not just this week but any week:

Hi Shavkat,There is no need for anyone to worry because the world is not going to end on December 21st. Some people have made a lot of money by writing about this and just scaring the wits out of some people and it isn't right. It will be a regular day just like any other, so prepare for Christmas and enjoy the the New Year. Blessings.

Pose, this date's now come and gone but it wasn't quiet a regular day. The staff of one of our local radio stations went home and just left the station repeatedly broadcasting, It's The End of The World as We Know It. It was also the winter solstice, and the summer solstice in the southern hemisphere.

According to my religion, if there are still people going to mosques, the calling of prayers is still heard by us, the doom's day is still far far away. Only God knows when. Trust me, the news is untrue.

yanzalong, I thought the world would be a much better place if people stopped going to mosques. Then there are various reasons to think that the anti-Christ will be a Muslim.

lotterylover, Nostradamus's prophecies are rather cryptic so it's hard to figure out what he really meant.
The 21/12/2012 doomsday has nothing to do with Nostradamus. It's the end of the Mayan long calendar.

The world is not going to end in less than two days. And if for some reason I'm wrong, well, I guess then I will be seeing all of you on the other side.
There are just a lot of things that are wrong with this proclamation that the world is going to end on 12/21/12. However, more than anything, I have to say that the biggest issue that I have with the belief that some people have of the world coming to an end this Friday is that the bible does state that no man will know when the world is going to come to an end, only the father himself will know.

Nobody can tell when the world is going to end. Why bother with something that is beyond our control? And why do people want to know when the world is going to end? And why do people like to make such predictions? Isn't it better to just live life as if it'll never end and let the world takes care of itself?

today, tomorrow, the next day..no one knows ..years maybe, the mainly thing is be ready for the good things in life and look toward many friends and happy thoughts and family. When the time comes it helps to be ready in stocking up with things but we should do that anyway and we are a step ahead in our needs. worry does not help but to be wise and in thoughts.. surviveing is great in anyway.. the era of the end of the calendar is what the 21st was meant and Nostradamus is wize but in sayings already explained in the Bible already..I think alot of knowledge is in there if people would search it out.. I believe I will carry on and keep on so see ya when I can.. hear from ya when I can, and true freinds are not forgotten..life will continue on good or bad times..

The day is not yet finished, but I think that if nothing happened till now there is no chance to happen anymore. Well, it was just another end of the world theory! And there will be more until ... the end of the world will really come, but I think no one knows for sure. It's no use to panic people with such theories, let's live our lives!

No one knows when will be the end of the world. Even the angels in the heaven does't know. What we can do is prepare ourselves at all times. We should always pray, repent our sins and do good things. I always told my family how i loved them because we'll never know when will be our last day on earth. Merry Christmas in advance :)

When I saw the topic, I was intrigued.
I honestly do not believe the world is coming to an end, but I do believe a great change is coming, and as to what the change will be, who is to say? We don't know what is going to happen, but whatever happens, humans will not die.

Someones subtle way of insulting him? As in his performance is so bad it must be the end of the world?? I say the same thing whenever I hear the boy from Austin and Ally sing. "Better get ready y'all. Apocalypse is coming!"

I don't believe that the end of the world is on Friday. Because as the bible say no one will know when the end of the world. Nostradamus know that there is the end of the world but he never know the exact date and time.
Even our Lord Jesus Christ, didn't know the exact time as he said but only the father.

life as we know it will end according to doomsday predictions, but that is what it actually means, life will have a new beginning, which is also what is being predicted if the dec 21st apocalypse prediction does come to pass, i know i am not going to mull over it and give it too much concern because there really is not a whole lot i can do to stop the world from ending if it really does happen, so i ll just continue preparing too celebrate christmas and have a bash when new year 2013 comes, planning to get tanked up to say goodbye to 2012 and have a really good time new years eve party, and if the world should end dec 21st, well too bad ..just hope it happens in a flash. Whooosh...Puff...!! and it is over!!

Nostradamus had no prediction about December 21, 2012. In point of fact there was only one of his predictions with a specific date, and that was for the year 1999, in either July or September, depending on how you translated that prediction, and that was one that he got wrong. Nothing happened in 1999 like what his prediction said for that year, in either July or September, so he was not so infallible as a prophet, after all. Also, contrary to popular misconception he did not predict 911. You would think something like that would have been on his list of things to see in his future, but he did not. Just like All Human-beings, he made mistakes, too.
Now aside from that, December 21, 2012 will just be another day, I personally plan to have a World Continuation Day party on December 22, 2012, since the world will still exist.
