Can live without Mobile Phone
Some people can not live without Mobile. In my case, I often forget my Mobile Phone when I go to our office. So I think I can live a day or two without Mobile Phone. But it is really an important device as I can not contact my boy friend without this. I know some of my friends who are panicking when they left their Mobile Phone as if their lives depend on it.
Can you live without Mobile Phone for a day?
Did you experience a day without using a Mobile Phone and you felt so incomplete?

Ever since I started using the mobile phone, I could not literally get out of the house without out coz I feel I need to connect to a member of my family if an emergency happens. I just think that it is the most helpful device most especially for moms to track down their kids while they are out of the house.

jenny, I agree that our cell phones provide us with peace of mind. Still there are times that I will forget my cell phone either at home or I end up leaving it in the car by accident. Sometimes it is just so peaceful not to be bothered by a ringing cell phone or the sound of incoming text messages. I think sometimes it is good to detach a little bit from our cell phones.

I think that is is a very good advice for those "addicted" to it. I do not have a constant textmate or phonepal. I just feel the need because of my kids.

Hi jenny1015! Yes this is really important specially to moms. They need to track their kids if they were able to safely go to school.
High school students can easily tell their parents as to why they are late. This will make their parents less worried. My mom can get easily worried if I was late for an hour or two already.

I haven't used my phone since October and I've gone longer than that without it. Phones are really not a necessity. They like cars are nice to have, but they for me are more of a luxury item. Do they make life easier? Yes, especially when my Mom wants to get lost in Walmart and I can't find her. I just have to remember to make sure we have a meeting time and place.
If my friend (boyfriend/girlfriends) want to contact me there are pay phones, and most of my friends know where I'm living, all they have to do is drive themselves here to visit. It's that simple. They could even walk if they didn't have transportation.
I like to have the phone available, but again it's a luxury and not a necessity at this point.

Hi Arieles! For me, it is totally difficult for me not to have a mobile phone. We no longer have a house phone or landline so I guess our mobile phone is our only communication to our friends and family. I am not into expensive phones. I just use a regular phone with text, call and Internet feature. It is a touch screen phone but not the expensive one.

My cellphone is basically for emergencies and texting my son. I have gone days without using it and since my minutes keep accumulating I have almost 4000 minutes on it. I also have a landline so it's basically for when I'm out of my apartment.

Hi ctryhnny! I have a mobile phone but this is prepaid, not post paid or with price plans. I can spend about 50 pesos per month or approximately one dollar for my mobile phone bills. This will already give me enough text message and call minutes. I worked before in a Telecommunication company in US, Canada and UK and I encounter a lot of Mobile Phone bills dispute. I definitely understand where these customers are coming from as their bills are really expensive.

I can't live without a mobile phone. It is so important for me. When I go out, I will make sure that I will bring the wallet, keys and mobile phone. I can not only contact others, but also the mobile phone can give me a lot of entertainment. Such as I like watching movies from my mobile phone. If I forget to bring my mobile phone, I will feel lost.

Hi youless! I have been to that situation before. I felt so lost and alone because someone stole my mobile phone. Me and my friends usually meet before going to our classrooms back in college. However, since I do not have my phone, I have no way to contact them. So I ended up waiting in our classroom. I felt so lost as I was really a text addict during that time.

I only use my Mobile for emergencies when i am not at home and my land line is not available. It is a great invention though but I do think it is a bad idea to become too dependant on it. I lived without even a phone at home for years and I didn't think it was strange at all! Now the reverse is true. It is good for teenagers to have one so that parents can keep in touch when they are out on their own and to remind them that it is time they came home!
Looking around town it seems that no one walks anywhere unless that phone is to their ear and they are talking to someone, the worse thing is that the same applies to drivers. Do young people ever hear their own thoughts or are they continually being bombarded by conversation from their friends?

Hi 41CombedaleRoad! Yes I agree that this is a very good invention. My father gave my first mobile phone about 10 years ago. I was one of the first few students in our school to have a mobile phone. I don't use it that much, I just use it to communicate with my father as he is not going home every day. I find mobile phone very convenient and though there are a lot of expensive phones these days, there are models that are really affordable.

I have one of those old models and it has outlived 2 of my husband's new ones! It is important to keep in touch with parents, especially as they grow older. Your father is being well rewarded by introducing you to mobile phones so long ago!

Hi arnabroy16! I only use my phone for texting and for caling. For Internet usage, I rather use my Laptop as my mobile is very slow when it comes to surfing. I think I manage a few days without looking at my mobile phone. I do not text that much as well.

I do not even know how to surf the internet using my phone. I just use it for what I consider the basics phone calls, texting, clock, and alarm clock. The only thing is that I wished I could sync my outlook calendar to my cell phone and load music onto it. I do not want to download music. I just mean like if I could add music that I have stored on my computer to my phone.

Well, most of my communications are done on my cell phone. That is why it is very obvious that I have to have my cell phone with me all the time. If I don't, then I will be missing a lot of important calls and messages which are vital for my line of work. I also check my emails on my cellphone, so it is very essential that I have it all the time.

Hi jpso138! I agree with you, specially if your works really requires you to have a constant communication with your clients. I have friends who solely rely on their mobile phone to earn money. As for checking emails, my mobile phone is quite slow for that so I use my laptop instead.

Hi alilin28! Cell phone are really important as it connects you to your family and friends. Although there are other means of communication aside from using Cell phones. For me, a week without receiving a text message or call will be very difficult. I am sure that is already a nightmare to some.

First of all, I would say that I do like to have my cell phone when I go out for emergencies. I mean you never know what to expect.
Seeing as my cell phone is my only source of a phone, I am not sure if I could go an entire day without needing my phone. Still, a few days ago. I went to run errands early in the day. When I got home, I got busy doing things. It was about 8 - 10 hours later that I realized that I did not have my cell phone. It was around 9 - 10 pm that I realized that I left it in the car that morning. So that meant going out in the rain to go retrieve it from the car, I do not really live in the best area of town and do not like to not have my phone especially at night.
The odd part was that I had a bunch of text messages from a friend. Once, I read the text messages I wished that I had not seen them because the texts were not kind at all. So, I do think we can live without our cell phones, but for peace of mind it is good to have them near.

Nope, I do not have one of those fancy SmartPhones with all the bells and whistles. I am planning to get a new phone, but it will only be so I can change to a cheaper no contract type of cell phone plan. I would have liked a SmartPhone, but when I looked into it. The choices were pay a high monthly rate and receive a free phone or pay a low monthly fee and have to pay for a phone. The best I found was that I can get a phone for about $10; then the service should be about $30 a month. That works for my cell phone needs and my budget. I came to realize we are not saving any money with those contract plans that give us free phones because the price of the phone kind of gets worked into the plan or at least that is my opinion after seeing how those plans have inflated monthly rates over prepaid or pay as you go plans.

Hi aireanna18! Sometimes, I also have that feeling. I do not want to hear any ringtones for messages or alert. Sometimes I am not even checking my phone for the whole day. But probably it depends if you have a new phone, you can't help but to use it most of the time. But generally, mobile phones are really important.

Hi asiacevillar! I know some people who consider their mobile phone as their life line. Probably these people use it for work and for earnings. Some use it to communicate with the family members. However, there are some people who use it just to post a picture of their breakfast, send chain text messages and use public Wi-Fi connection.

Hi vanthoavn! I definitely agree with you. When I was applying for a job before, our land line phone or house phone is disconnected. I only rely to my mobile for the company to contact me. Good thing they were able to contact me the day after I applied online. Up to now, I am using the same number.

No, I cannot live without my mobile phone. I use my phone to reach my contacts, which includes not only my friends and family but also work. It's very hard for me to go one day without a phone. Although I am not like one of my friends that use their phones to surf the Web and text message many times per day, I still need to it for calling people for various tasks and sometimes emergencies.

Hi Otanetix! I agree with you since you are using your mobile phone for your work and emergencies as well. I seldom sent text messages anymore. I do not use my mobile for Internet as the screen is small and the connection is slow. I just use it for emergency and fo my family.

Now a days, its very useful to have our mobiles with us all the time. If, were lost in some place, we can use mobile to ask the way, or navigation if you got smartphone. If you went somewhere then there's an important event you need to capture a photo, theres a camera in the mobile. Its just important now, just bring it. you'll never know when you needed it the most.

Hi liezel25! Mobile phones are very useful. I use my mobile phone camera a lot and it is very convenient. I do not need to bring my digital camera anymore as my mobile phone can capture the same image. It is very easy to share it to my friends too.

Can't even imagine a day without a mobile phone. It has really become a necessity of life but i think if i try i can live without it just wondering that even in olden times people used to communicate with each other when there were no mobile phones. But now a days even if the mobile gets misplaced i start getting worried about the text messages that might have come. when the credit gets finished it looks that the life is incomplete when the text messages stops. Mobile phone, you have really made us dependent on you.

Hi rldchampions001! We are all somehow dependent to our mobile phone. Without this, part of us is not complete at all. You will missed the text messages and the calls from your friends and family. Good thing that mobile phone was invented.

Hi namiya! That is one of the main reason why I use mobile phone. This is to get connected with our family members. I will be able to check right away if they are alright or if there is an emergency. It is difficult not to have a mobile phone specialy during emergency.

No I cant live without mobile and I think nobody can live without mobile phone because this is the necessary thing of our life. But my habit is also same I leave my mobile in home mostly when goes in marriage because many time my mobile is lost so now if my hubby is with me then I leave my phone in my home. But friend if you are going in office alone without family members then you should carry the phone because we cant say when time is came and mobile is needs.

Well is it only mobile that you forget to often or do you forget other things that you might carry office?
Currently I stay around 800 kilometers away from my aged parents and hence mobile plays an essential role in my life. It's not that I can't live without it but the fact is that it has become an essential part of life.

Hi nish84! The longest time that I do not have a mobile phone was for about a week. It was depressing as I was in college. Also, I am into text messaging during that time. It is like I can not live without it. But now, I can live a few days without using it.
