I have noticed this generation now. They are so fund of buyiing things which is branded. From shoes to gadgets. It has to be branded and ofcourse they'll took a picture and show off to everyone what they got. I think its okay to buy the latest stuffs so you are also a bit updated. But to buy phones every year? I dont know, its just a waste of money. So what do you think? Do you also do that? Just share your opinion maybe I'm just too savey.hehe :)

I'm not very materialistic, but I do like to buy things, but I don't feel I have to have the latest gadget and hottest trendy thing now.

Buying a cellphone each year could be really expensive. I do not buy a new one unless the one I am using is broken. I'd rather use my money to buy the most important things that my family needs.

If people get a kick out of buying a designer product then they probably have more money than most of us. I am more concerned that people buy 'designer' dogs and the mongrels here get abandoned. It is all part of the materialistic world we live in. We have found a litter of 9 puppies but if we try to get people interested in having one all they ask is 'What is the breed?'

I'm not really into brands or anything. If I like the style, even if it's cheap, I will buy it. It's about how I like it and not about brands. And you're right. There's no need for a new cellphone every year. My friend just spent her entire salry for Iphone 4s and now, new model of Iphone is released.

I won't do that if I'm very rich and have lots of money. I will share it to my unfortunate fellows. I'll build a big building for them to have a shelter, teach them the right thing to do to earn a living and keeping their family healthy and happy.
My live-in partner told me that if we get rich he'll buy a big house and give it to the poor and give them food while we can live at the street. It's a crazy idea, I know he is not serious about that but comparing our life from other people here in Philippines we are still lucky to have a nice shelter and food to eat 3x a day.
Instead of spending it to material things I will just save the money for the future use of my kids.

That is the transition observed in today world. As the technology is advancing and is cheap and is just within budget of people they will continue to buy things that are latest that they can show off. I remember one of my friend reminding me to think on following lines when one is buying or wish to buy something. " DO I REALLY NEED THIS? IS THIS VERY ESSENTIAL TO AFFECT MY LIFE? "

I never do that. For me you don't have to show off to people what you have. You just made them felt insecure :(
