I enjoy getting all sweaty when I exercise, I find exercise a great stress reliever. I love pushing my body to the limit when I'm running, and I think just one more block each step of the way encouraging myself to go further. Exercise is exhilarating. I love knowing I can exercise and knowing I don't have to starve myself to reach my health goals.

Diet and exercise should go together for good result. Unfortunately I lack the will power to stick to anyone of it for long. At the end of the day I come back to the square one with nothing accomplished. I rather not be a slave to exercise nor do I want to deprive myself of foods when I still have the appetite for good foods. There come a time when we can't even eat due to sickness. So forget about diets. It is only torturing a healthy body. Aftersll we eat to live.

I try to get a bit of both in moderation. For me, too much exercise is not good. I feel that I have to enjoy it. If I am not enjoying exercising then it can be stressful. I am very strict with what I eat. I know that all types of sugar is like a poison to my system although I used to love it. But I became ill and found out from a dietician that it was sugar damaging my system. Always getting colds and infections, etc. But when I quit all sugar (from cane and fruit) my health improved immensely. I watch all food packaging and read the labels. If it contains any sugar at all, I don't consume it. It was hard at first, but now it is easy as I don't even like the smell of sugar that I can smell in any type of food and would never be able to eat it. I certainly no longer miss it. _Derek

To be more effective , both diet and exercise should be done plus a very important additional thing , that discipline ! The two will be effective only if you got a self discipline. The two would only appear futile if a person have no self discipline.

I say both. But I agree that it's hard to find time to do exercise, but to do simple exercise (not workout which need so many time and effort) is actually quite simple, if you work in office, don't use lift if you worked at high floor, use stairs. Or you could try to walk longer (if you use some kind of public transportation like bus you could walk to a further shelther or something) if you go to work or if you like to shopping in the mall, you could use that opportunity to walk pretty much like exercise, right?

I love going to an energetic dancing class twice a week. I have the music at home and often dance in my lounge. I walk my children to the school and preschool. They are a ten to fifteen minute walk away. So my daughter and I get lots of walking. My son goes along in his wheelchair.
I eat a vegan diet which is healthy. I avoid eating biscuits, crisps and sweets. I eat at meal times and don't snack at other times. I like a mixture of diet and exercise.

I don't diet; but, I don't need to. I eat healthy so my weight is not an issue; though I do think exercise is important.

I prefer both diet and exercise for best results. Increasing water and eating sprouts while letting go of fats, unnatural sugars and starches is very simple and much less expensive than buying into a diet program. My exercise consists of yoga and abdominal crunches, along with hiking. Even gardening is considered exercise, as is housework.

I prefer doing exercise, because keeping fit by doing exercise is good to our body. In contrast, having a diet can make us ill.

I don't "diet", I watch what I eat and I don't pig out, I eat 5 times a day, little meals and I make sure they give me energy not just something to fill me up. I do exercise as well, I've always been active to going to the gym or doing something active keeps me healthy. I don't mind not eating something so I don't feel guilty but when I do eat something bad I know I'll just work it off.

I really think it is both, since you cannot just do one, all the experts say you should do both, there should be balance. But diet is easier to be done, but you can just exercise by walking around the house or dancing in your room... any way to make you seat.

I would rather just lose weight by not having to do anythign extra but darn it , it just does not work out that way. Every pound I take off is a task.
