How many "Friends" do you have?

I just turned 41 a few weeks back. I was thinking... How many friends do I really have? As I thought about it, I am blessed to know that I honestly have a bunch of really great people in my life. I have 2 women in my life who I consider more like sisters, then friends. They are my true soul mates and I love them dearly.
Then there are those people I knew when I was younger who we still keep in touch and have a relationship. There are also those people who I have meet here at mylot and on facebook who I have never meet in person, but who I love dearly. So when I sit down and think about it... I really do have so many wonderful friends in my life.
How many friends do you have?

I have only a few true friends. And, those people are they type who, even if we don't see each other or communicate too often, we still have each other when we need them. I think I only have about 10 of them or lesser. The rest are just acquaintances.

that's great, I have a few close friends but I have yet to meet those people who I can consider real friends... or maybe my standards are too high?

I don't have a whole lot of friends but the ones I have are dear to me and surprisingly a couple of the best ones I have I just met in the last 2 years. A few of my good friends have passed on and I don't keep in touch enough with a few of my older friends. I need to do that more.

Nice to know that you have good friends .I have very few friends because of my straight forward nature even in that few i cant say that they are my true soul mates , after coming to Mylot i found good friends but i never meet them in person but i m happy with all the friends over here.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well that is absolutely great to hear about your friends whom u call as soul mates and that speaks how close u all are with each other. To be very honest, life becomes smoother when u have such friends in your life and i am happy that u feel complete with their presence in your life. I do have many friends in life but i do not think i can put any of them in the category of best friends.

I did't count the exact number, but i do know that if i need some help in some matters, i can find someone to help me without excuse and inpatience.

I have only a few if that. Unfortunately I have been hurt a lot and it's caused me to be very selective on whom I allow in my life. The one's/ that I do have I know I can rely on them 24/7.
