I have seen a show in tv. Each contestant was given a money to do a shopping, its a lot of bucks already because its 500 euros. One contestant kiss the 500 bills. The host said, no its not good to kiss the money coz it was belief its a bad luck in India. Is this belief true? Is someone experiencing any bad luck after the kiss? Oh yah, the contestant didnt win.

Once in the Spring we gave some money to an estate agent who had helped us find a place to rent. He had never followed up on the place that he had suggested and did not even know that we had taken it. So it came as a surprise when we arrived and paid him for his advice. He took the notes, kissed them and then planted them on his forehead! How odd. He said he did this because it was the first money he had earned that year! I hope, in his case, that his kiss brought him better luck.

Hi,
I am Indian. but I haven't heard yet that kissing the money is bad luck. That contestant didn't win because of co incidence. But this is meaningless and don't trust on such superstitions. We should not believe in such things as we are living in modern world.

I do not generally believe in superstitions about luck. I believe we make our own luck by taking the initiative to prepare for something. There might be coincidences where we were lucky, but recreating the same expected result might not happen again. However, to be honest, I have never heard about kissing money will mean bad luck. However, it is the person's choice to believe in superstitions. Although I do not believe in bad luck from kissing money, other people are free to believe it or not.

it is contaminated with bacteria that can infect and can create diseases when it enters the mouth after kissing it.

Hi,
I don't see any connection between bad luck and money kissing except contracting sickness from germs that may be there. It's love for money, a sign that it don't come easily to everyone but after a back-breaking labor or a nerve-wracking brain work. Personally, I don't do it, I just place them reverently in my wallet whenever I happen to get hold of them once in a while.

To be honest, I've never kissed the money, coz money is touched by different people in different ways through circulations. It would be not so clean as the initial shape.

It may or may not be true. Kissing the money seems more like the person is a gold digger, than trying to kiss for some luck; so maybe that's the reason why it's bad luck. Anyways, why would anyone even want to kiss the money? You don't know where it's been, for all you know, it could of been in the toilet! Yuck!
