What a weird thunderstorm!

It just so happened that we had a thunderstorm several days ago.It was some strange freak.Today it is snowing hard with the temperature at 1 C.

I 've heard of winter thunder storms. In fact, I've heard that thunder can even occur with snow, but I've never seen (or heard) it.

It sounds weird to have a winter thunderstorm. Usually it happens in the summer months in our place. When it thunders and flashes, it may cause danger to people. Every year, there is news about deaths caused by lightening and thundering. So it is safer to stay inside when it thunders. Take care.

We are having strange weather all over now days. SOmething unique must have happened in your area. I bet you watched the weather they might talk about it and then you would know the scientific elements that caused this strange anomaly to take place. It sure isn't the normal type storm in the Winter.

Just like with you, it is quite odd for us to have thunderstorms during the winter as well. However, last week on Thursday we actually did have some rather severe thunderstorms. It was really odd because there was a lot of thunder and lightening and heavy rain. We even had some hail as well, which is definitely unheard of for a winter thunderstorm. I just hope that after the storm last week that we are done having thunderstorms for the rest of this winter.

Yes winter in know my slow rain. But it is not hard and fast rule. You know enviorment is changing. So it possible to thunderbolt in this season.

It was really weird when I heard on the news today that tornadoes had touched down in part of the United States. I was like, in Decemeber?!

The world climatic changes is going crazy. Something that is going to shock us all. Part of my country is alresdy submerged in flood waters and many deaths have been reported. The worse is yet to come.

I think unexpected things happening with nature too. I really scared on thunder and lightening as it is most dangerous. Many people got killed on thunder and lightening in our native state. When there is light sounds starts, all people will remove their phone hooks, switch of all electric gadgets etc. to avoid accidents. It is usual to get electric shock if you use land phones at the time of thunder. I heard complaints with mobile phone too. The voltage will increase and it will damage the tv. I think the situation is scary.

Welcome to global warming and the weird weather that everyone is experiencing. This type of unexpected weather is occurring everywhere now. Tornadoes in December in the US was unheard of almost years ago. Now they seem to be the norm. So, I'm sure your country is seeing the changing weather patterns as well. All we can do is adapt. It's past time for trying to do anything about it.

We have had very strange weather here as well. Usually storms are in the summer - but Christmas Day a large portion of the southern states got the storms like that. there were even some tornadoes that touched down in Alabama. Hope you were not near those.. here we just got ice, sleet and snow - that's normal for December!

This may be due to this global warming. I remember a sudden change of weather here in our country too. The summer starts too early and the rainy season comes too late. It's really odd when rain starts to pour during summer season as early as February when it's supposed to start by June.

Sometimes we also experience thunder and lightning here in the Philippines, my friend. Though, the longest that it would last i think is 10 minutes. I think the thunderstorm there in your place would really scare me, if we experience that.

We also had thunder here, but no rain. My daughter asked what that noise was, and I told her it was rumbling from thunder. There must have been a cold front and a warm front that met each other for that rumbling to be going on… but so far no rain.

Several days ago the thunder and lightning was also that bad here, it was very scary i tell you but i guess it is normal because there is a typhoon looming around.
