my new years plans for 2013...
Work again.
Like I did at xmas time.
Im going to stay open till like 2am on new years.
My brother is going to stay here, with me.
I think business will be good.
I never go to parties.
But I know there will be many around me here.
I just hope they come and buy sodas and things that day....
So what are your new years plans?

I have always worked myself on New Years Eve - never enjoyed the New Year parties, always a bit fake and tend to have people there that you don't like.
However this year I am off New Years Eve. I would imagine that I will watch the New Year come in around the World on TV.
I think your plan to stay open on New Years eve sounds like it will be fun actually.
Enjoy your New Years Eve Maria and I hope that 2013 is a good year for you and your family

Not only that, you give the people who are not party animals a place to go. I really hope you are busy.

your right garden, my brother thinks a few of the kids who live around us, will be here as their dads are drinking. I told them thats ok, as long as they are customers. I ll let them stay all night here.

My plans include staying home and off the roads. More than likely I will be working on an afghan for one of my kids, doing some mylot and watching movies. I know there will be parties. Mom will probably go to church and the kids and I will stay here. New Years falls on a weekday this year.
You will be very busy again. I hope you will be able to get some rest. I would love to go out and have some fun. I know my middle daughter will be gone back to Illinois by then (she's leaving tonight) so I won't get to spend anymore time with her and my grand daughter.

Sounds great, I will work but stay inside. My brother wont let me go outside. We get so many people on the streets and drinking. Good thing for me here, is the police will be at the high school infront of my home. i always give them coffee, so they look out for me here.

Glad to hear your business is doing well. I'm happy also that your brother will be with you on new years too, since you will be open so late. I hope you make lots of money!
I don't normally go to any parties anymore but I do wait up until 12:00 midnight to welcome in the new years.

As long as you enjoy it! I think it's different when you have your own business...it's just more fun to work it and make your own money, rather than working it and making money for someone else to get rich. That's not as much fun!

You're a workaholic, maria!
I will be in bed before midnight, and new year is just another day to me. I admire your business acumen, but I need my bed more then I need money these days. Good luck to you and I hope it all goes well.

Like you, most days I like to be in bed by 8pm. If I am not, I usually go home.
Hopefully I will be back before the big day/night to wish you a happy new year. It's got to be better than the last one. Hasn't it?

That is good you are advetising it, so people can see it, and know.
You never know, I think it depends on the age group. Many younger indidivuals will be more for the goodies, and some older may not go out partying so they may spend the time online.
So how does it work? You charge them a rate for say an hour, or such.

I charge about 75 cents per hour for the computer and internet time. I have 6 pc for rent here, and one xbox 360 I rent as well.

well, Im going to try. If I make 1/4 of what I did at xmas here, Ill be very happy. i think Ill sell candy and drinks on new years, not as many will rent computer time. But you never know. maybe the kids will come in. My brother just put up a banner saying Ill be open all day and night new years eve here and 1/2 of new years day.

It can be a lot of fun as well as profitable for you. I will actually not be working New Year's Eve, but I may go donate blood platelets. I hope you have tons of visitors who spend lots of money and are good company there at your internet cafe.

its not always good to own your own business. If business is bad, I dont get paid. At least at a regular job you get paid every week....
