Do you enjoy the snow?

We are in the middle of a big snow storm here. I went out and shoveled and was unable to bring my kids out today because they are still sick with a cold. I love to play in the snow, snowball fights are my favorite. I do find it to be annoying though when I do not have a play mate in the snow. How about you? Do you like the snow?

When I was younger, I enjoyed the snow more than I do now. As a kid, I was carefree and did not really have much to worry about. However, now, I have to worry about going to work and it snow can be very bad with creating traffic jams. Besides work, there are other things I have to do, which may cause some tardiness along the way.

I miss being a carefree kid. So many things to do each day makes it difficult to do when the snow gets in the way. We had a snow day today because the office closed but I hate the white knuckle driving when they do not close!

"Do you enjoy the snow?" Yes, it makes my garden look like everyone elses. Snowball fights are fun, unless you are getting cold or you get one right in the mush or down the back of the neck. Otherwise, yes. We have plenty rain right now and that is really difficult to make into a ball and throw. You should see my balls, they ain't worth throwing.

Too funny! Nothing like a white wash to the face huh... Down the back of the neck is terrible and makes me so cold. I like puddle jumping in a rain storm... one of my favorite things to do!

Not really, I prefer to look at it than pay in it. I am sorry your children are sick, they must really hate not being able to play in the snow. My son on the other hand talked me into building a snowman and he had a snowball fight with the neighbor kids, so he is enjoying it, even though I am not..

No, we built the snowman when the storm was letting up yesterday. He had the snowball fight today while I was at work, which kind of bums me out, I would love to have gotten pictures...

It is beautiful to watch come down and when it is fresh the white layer is pretty sweet. Yeah they were not happy about it but it is for the best. I was sad to and my husband actually had to put his foot down because I almost caved. Good balance, thank goodness :) Wait, did you build the snowman while he had the snowball fight? I built a snow fort a couple of years ago and made a ton of snowballs and hide them inside of it and when my husbands band came over to practice I just starting throwing them :) It was really fun we all laughed so hard, and if I recall correctly it was a great practice night!

Oh cool! Those would have been some great pictures I bet. Are there a lot of kids in the neighborhood around the same age? We really do not have a lot of kids in my area. There are about seven but they are much older than my kids. Only three my kids ages.

I have been saying this to everyone whoever asked me whether I enjoy snow. The sad part is snow evades me. I have had several occasions to get an experience but it never showed up

I wish I could say that snow evades me, instead it seems to follow me! I have spent all of my life in four seasons and when I was young I loved the winter, so much fun was had. Now I do not have the toys to make it fun, so I am stuck! Right now it feels like the sun is avoiding me, and that is all I want, sun!

To a certain extent. But it may be a further annoyance if I have to deal with a large amount and it makes an obstacle to my daily living. of course, it makes more slip into a hibernation mode rather than be productive on an opposite weather.

Oh that is how I feel, like I am hibernating! We just received another 12 inches of snow last night and it is still coming down at a good clip. It is cold and windy and the kids only stay outside for 10 minutes at a time. Have you ever heard of cabin fever? That is what we are all suffering from! It is a good thing we purchased "storm food" because we are not going any way for a while :)

I imagine life with all summer and rain and hope one day to live in a land like that! Snow is really fun when you are dressed right and if you can afford the toys to play with in it. When I was young we used snowmobiles a lot. Even would take them to school instead of vehicles. I live near the coast now so we do not get as much as I did when I was a child but it is still fun. I really prefer the sunshine though!

Do you live in a higher elevation so you do not get the flooding? I can imagine having beautiful gardens if I had so much sunshine and rain, do you?

We already had our second snowfall in December, and many of the students were playing on the playground to make snowmen and they had snow fight at each other. I love snow, but I don't play with snow any more though I used to when I was young. Right now the temperature in our place is getting higher than before. I am wondering whether we will have another snowfall in January or February. Take care and stay warm.

I don't like the snow, but I did when I was a child. It is pretty when it falls, but i don't like to get ut in it at all. In our area, here in Oregon, we had snow early lat wek, but it was just a trace, and that is enough for me. I think as a person gets older, things change and ideas change, and you don't like what you used to. If I wee a lot younger, I might feel differently, but at my age, i would preer it didn't snow. Take care, and have a very good day.

Most certainly our likes and dislikes change with age. I am starting to really appreciate that one. I like to ski but it is too expensive, I like to ice skate and can't wait for the ponds to be frozen.. a good game of hockey gets my heart flowing quite nicely on a chilly night :) We have about 8 inches now and it is supposed to snow through the night.. ugh! I don't like driving in it at all!!!

We've been on vacation for a couple of weeks and I heard that it snow when we were away. When we got back, it was back to rain. Today was the first day that we saw the snow for this winter season. It wasn't much as the roads pretty much melted it all away without any help. I don't like snow. It's only nice to look at, until you realize that you have to drive over day-old snow and that it's too slippery.

I love me some sunshine! I certainly prefer to be in the sun then in the snow. We currently live in a four season climate and I have to make due with what I have but I do not enjoy being cold. Very true that each person has their individual tastes towards things.

Hi, I live in India. And in our city, there is no snowfall. So I don't have any experience of playing in snowfall. But I have seen all this n movies. Here our climate is not so cold in winter. But if I get the chance to play in the snow I definitely will play in the snow.

I live in Indonesia, and there are no snow here. I used to watch snow on tv, and I like it, they play with snow, make snow sculpture and play with it. If I had a lot of money I want to spent my holiday in Europe, so I can play snow too:)
