Now since we made it through all the Holiday feastinghow is your belly feeling?
Lucky for me I didn't gain a pound but I had to limit my feasting quite a bit.
What will you do to get your waist line back into shape for the New Year...... sit on the computer, watch TV, play games.....sounds good to me

I would like to work more at home on the computer, and I can take it to work, so that is more sitting.

Lucky for me I do a lot of walking since I don't have a car and I walk all day at work too so that helps me a lot.

I gained more when I was unemployed and should have been out walking more...

Desk job. :-(
My last job was near a river and a lake, so I'd take long walks at lunch. Here, it's a street...

I was cooking this year so unbeknownst to my family I made healthy versions of everything.... They never knew! Lots of veggies, lots of roasted, and low salt. We all did OK.

I played a lot with my recipes from my mother and grandmother. Using low fat or 2% milks and cheeses, adding veggies to meats, using leaner meats such as Bison or venison. Sloppy Joes lose a lot of fat and calories when you switch to bison, use no sugar and add add a pound of shredded carrots to the meat!

Instead of got milk? I have some fat on my hips! It's the fact I haven't been exercising much these last two weeks. I just haven't been in the mood. I get like this sometimes, going strong for so long that I just need to stop and regroup. I'm older now and I have to work harder to keep the weight off. I'm not even sure if I want to lose weight anymore. Maybe I'm just happy with thunder thighs and a big belly.
I would like to have a gym membership, but none around here are worth having. I won't pay $80 a month for a gym membership. I think I'll just make the decision not to gain weight! Stay the same.
I know I won't make a resolution to lose weight. I think I'll just make a goal to eat more fruits and veggies as the New Year approaches.

I am a regular gym user so I don't have to worry about getting fat, I go three times a week, do a strenuous 90 minute program and that keeps the fat off. I can't diet, diets' don't work for me, so I eat what I like in moderation and I exercise. It's quite comical in January the gyms are full with people with good intentions and fulfilling their new year's resolutions and by February it empties out again, people lose interest and stop going!

, I can imagine, that's why when I went on a diet I did it before the Holidays so I didn't gain that extra 5 pounds of Holiday fat

I didn't feast too much either, I have had problems with wanting to eat anything so it is very easy to NOT over indulge.
My plans for getting back in shape include doing a thorough house cleaning and included in those plans is going through and eliminating a ton of stuff that I don't use anymore. I have been so sick for so long that the house and yard is a total mess!!! After doing all that cleanup I should lose around 15 or 20 pounds.
In between I will be sitting behind the sewing machine and making teddy bears. In the evening I will be sitting beside Bill and will be either stuffing teddy bears or working on jewelry. I want to get a head start on jewelry for the year, including doing a bunch of earrings done for next Christmas. I scored some small decorations that will be perfect for Christmas earrings and other seasonal jewelry.
It's kind of like today, when I finish on the Lot I am going to work on the Christmas present for Bill. We decided to wait to exchange gifts until January, and I have a set of sheets to embroider for him. I have a Memory Craft 8000 sewing machine and I have the card for doing vehicles which includes old fashioned automobiles...so I am going to embroider the top sheet and the pillow cases with various cars and motorcycles. The set would cost me around $500 in the specialty linen stores and I am doing them for around $20, which includes the price of the sheets. I just hope he will like them. When I finish the top sheet and pillow cases I will post a picture of them on the Lot.

You are so busy no wonder you don't gain weight.
I love Teddy Bears, I have 6 of them sitting in my big chair in my bedroom.
I wish I had your talent to make them

I didn't pig out or eat many snacks during the holidays as I usually do!
One thing that people who are stationary do not realize is that there are actually so many exercises that they can do throughout the day... whether they are sitting at a desk.. on the floor... or even taking a break at work... They're not major exercises, but they definitely help to keep the muscles limber and to steady the metabolism. (:

I don`t think that I gained any weight, but I have a lot to lose so that`s what really worries me. I`m afraid that I will have to do much more than limiting my feasting next year

Try walking or swimming, that's about my only two things I like when it comes to exercise.

Hello missybear.
One of the not so good things that we get during holidays -- fat, extra weight. You are really if you really didn't gained weight.
What will I do to lose weight? I am wishing I could pursue brisk walking for it is the least that I can do to exercise. I live in a far away city and there is NO gym within the vicinity where I wish to do

Walking and swimming I think are 2 of the main forms of excising if you have no Gym around.
So if you can just walk as much as you can you're doing something

I really want to get fattier or to gain weight. This is my wish so long ago. I am thin and most of my loved ones told me that I will be look nicer if I gain more weight. lol. But I am still thankful that despite my thinness I am healthy and I am prone to any sickness. Sometimes I just suffer into colds.

I did not gain. I did make too many cookies for Christmas and I am still eating them. I have been working more, though and getting some extra walking in as well, so it kind of evens out. I would like to lose, maybe next month, when the cookies are gone.

actually, i got more slimmer. because i can go skate for 5 hours a day when there's a holiday or a no work days like weekends. and i hate getting fat. it's harder to jump skate around when you are heavy. i prefer to have a more athletic ttype of body.

I really do not eat so much fatty foods during holidays because I just do not feel them.
Most of the things that I eat during holidays are just desserts and fruits because they are my favorite. As for fatty foods, I only consume such, only enough to make me feel full.

You can do excercises like jogging, swimming etc.I too want to reduce my belly. And therefore i had joined gym.But i had to stop it,because one day i am here and another day i have to go out of my town.
And therefore now i jog per day.Because i can jog in each and every city.So that i jog and do "Pranayams" and yoga.I also walk 1-2 kilometers per day.
Now i don't take tension regarding my weight.I think you too can do this.

We have a pool in our complex but in the summer it's so packed full of kids you really can't swim.
