Sharing a bed with a girl...Is it strange?

Last night, i chat with my friend, he asked me where i am now, i said i am lying on bed with a girl. He said: do you share a bed with a girl? you can sleep with a strange girl?
I said, yes, it is not a big problem, i can share a bed when sleeping with a girl but i never do hand in hand with a girl when going out. He told me it is so strange since he never want to share a bed with a man even though that man is his relative, he would like to sleep alone...
In fact i prefer to sleep alone also, but when i came here, i could not apply to live in dormitory so that i have to stay in school-mate's house. I didn't know them before i came here but i did chat with them to ask for living in their house for a while. Since the house is small then i share a bed with 1 girl and in the next room, 2 girls share a bed also. I see it is ok since we are all girls...
I am still confused...why my friend said sharing a bed with a girl who i didn't know before is very strange????

What's strange in that, it's not going to harm you or the other girl, if you are in need and share the bed with a girl there is nothing wrong or strange with that.

He might have that kind of thought, if he watches those special type of movies, you know what I mean.

It depends on the country because there are some who acts conservative that is why they find it strange if a man sleep beside a girl whom you don't know. Well this is for protection as well to avoid some worst intances.

I don't think its strange at all. Matter of fact I would LOVE it! 
I think your lucky...but thats besides the point.
If you feel comfortable with it then I don't see why anyone else would have a problem with it. It's not weird to me...

I often sleep with my bestie in a same bed.Why not?I would also easily to fall asleep then.May be your friend doesn't get used to sleeping with another person,lol.

I feel strange if I am in your situation. If you are not comfortable sharing with that girl, you must transfer with the room.

Some years ago I had to share a room with a girl that I didn't know very well. When we arrived we found one big bed in the room, but we discovered that it actually consisted of two single beds so we moved them and slept different corners of the room. I thought that it was nice that we were able to move the beds since we didn't really know eachother that well, but it wouldn't have been a big problem if we had been forced to share the same bed. We were both girls so don't I think that it would be a big problem to share the bed if that was the only option. I don't think that it is strange that you share a bed with another girl. Sometimes you have to accept the accomodation that you can get especially if it is temporary thing.

yeah, i agree with you . In fact i prefer to sleep alone but in my current situation and i don't live in here for long, i don't mind to share a bed with her, especially she doesn't hug me also (I don't like girls hug me when sleeping)
Right now we are friends since we have a talk everyday and she is friendly ...

I think that not everybody is comfortable being in bed with another person other than their partners. I may feel awkward too, even if it was my cousin. But if there is nothing I can do about the situation, then I would just probably sleep it off (the awkwardness).

Hello, If I am on your situation I would feel completely awkward. Well it is okay since the two of you are girls but if that's a stranger, well I don't know what to do or what if I snore or I sleep talk or what. Even my boardmates, we don't sleep on one bed, sometimes if needed we do sleep in one bed but if it is a stranger? well is weird for me :) I'd rather sleep on the floor and sleep freely :)

In the US, at least in my experience, it's more common for men to not want to sleep with other men than women not wanting to sleep with other women. I've known some men that would rather sleep on the floor than share a bed with another man. I know of no women who feel that way.

yeah, i heard about it also..and i could understand why my friend doesn't want to share a bed with another man.
In fact i don't like a woman hugs me when i sleep also, i don't like hand in hand with a woman when walking also...but sharing a bed when sleeping, i can do it as long as a girl won't hug me.

It is ok for me to share a bed with a girl, it doesn't matter because we are all girls. even if we don't know each other, we can be friends after sharing a bed together.
