Kris Aquino isn't Funny!

It's different if you are an original comedian, I mean natural in nature. I think she is only a trying hard copy cat. If she alone on the movie and the genre is a comedy. Nobody will watch her.

She's supposed to be good at screaming in horror films. I think she can act but maybe as a comedienne, her sense of humor may not be in tune with other people's sense of humor. In our country, people seldom laugh at humor. They want comedy.

Haven't seen that movie too but I will look for it myself. I seem to observe that too , some good looking celebrities cannot really be effective as comedienne. Those with funny looks seems to be more effective. Being funny is really a talent, not all celebrities are good at it.

So I guess she wont win any acting awards for that role? Seems everyone agrees with you, she wasnt very funny. Happy new years..

i love kris aquino. but she really has no acting talent at all. the only thing she can do is talk.

I haven't watched it, but I got the same feedback from my brother. I think she can act in a horror movie, but she's not that good and can easily be replaced by any other actors. I agree, she should just stick to hosting. Her hosting skills are way above average anyway.

Oh that is really quite obvious. She looked really trying hard to do comedy, punch lines aren't her thing at all. i think even Vice in the movie was over doing it himself. I think this comedy movie was mediocre and such a waste of money if watched. Back to the topic - Kris for me should just stick to hosting indeed, she has no talent for comedy, even drama - her facial reactions are just the same in ever different kinds of scenes. haha even in horror movies she made, she was sure looking constipated.

Well obviously she is not a comedian and she was lined up with two veteran comedians so it is pretty obvious that she would be left out of the scene. I think the friendship of the three was just accomodated in the film and they were not really serious in getting the film get any rewards. But again to my surprise they got the 3rd best film?

I agree with you, friend. I don't think that Kris, is appropriate in comedy where her face is very strict.

When I was riding inside the MRT last night I've heard the passengers beside me talking about that movie then mentioned it that Kris Aquino wasn't that funny or it was corny at all. I don't know who to blame on that movie but I think it could be the director or the writer who weren't able to analyze how Kris will deliver the punchlines. I agree she must be focusing on hosting because at times her tactless statements makes me laugh.

she won acting awards before and those victories are nothing but flukes. Lets say the roles on that film just happens to fit her personality thats why she got an award, thankfully she didnt an ward this time around as her acting is 1 dimensional. I also hate her voice..... The only time her acting impressed me, is when she played a Villain role in Calvento files, but then,.... I was like 7 years old when I watched that episode so I dont know whats good acting then.

I think senior comedians like Dolphy and Vic Sotto are funny because they don't exert effort in making the movie watchers funny. I think they are effortless. Just delivering the lines is funny for them alone with not much facial expressions. Sisterakas is on my top list to watch in this MMFF. I don't like the fantasy or suspense type. I think the SSR series is "bitin" to watch. I like to watch One More Try movie too.

I don't follow Kris Aquino. Sure she has a lot of charisma and a natural at hosting. Most of the time... I just find her annoying, a drama queen though I don't think she is a bad person.

Kris Aquino is not just not funny... she is also not a very good actress... i don't understand why she keeps making movies... and i also do not understand why she won some acting awards... But no doubt that she is a good host... when she is in her talk show... there she can be funny... because it comes natural to her... i agree... she should just stick to the small screen... and leave the big screen to those who are really good at acting...

I have not watched the movie so I am not sure about that. But I guess she fits better in horror films that in comedy. She is also good in hosting, she should stick to that as well.

Not going to bother to see it. My patience and money willingly go to waste. The trailer itself was a good indication enough. actually, I think she's also kinda bad at hosting. Comparing the Manzanos (Edu and Luis) in her former shows is more refreshing than her hosting it. As long as she plays the exaggerated woman, she fist the role well because she's born to play it.

I haven't seen the movie yet. But I have to agree with you that she better stick to hosting than acting. Coz wherever you put her, whether it's a comedy, horror or drama... she can't justify it.

I agree. Kris Aquino is not funny. Not only in Sdisterakas but even her earlier attempts at comedy. Rene Reqieustas (God rest his soul) carried her in Pido Dida 1, 2, 3 and they became certified hits. In Sdisterakas, she was with Vice Ganda and Ai Ai delas Alas, two of the country's top comedians. If she isn't funny in that movie Vice and Ai Ai can well compensate. But we should hand it over to her in picking up projects that gives her box office success.
