A woman pretended to be a relative of one of the kids killed in the shooting that killed 26 kids and staff at Kinderhook. She has been arrested. I do not agree with the way facebook has their policies but you can use facebook for lots of things like sending your resume to prospective employers. Facebook should look at what is being posted before people post things to collect money just to scam people who are kind hearted and care enough to want to help. I hope that her facebook page gets deleted because she saw fit to lie and pull this scam! As for those kind enough to send her mony falling for her scam, they will get what they sent back. Because they were kind enough, they will ultimately be rewarded!

I really cannot believe the extent that people will do to get money and to exploit the grief of others and take advantage of kind-hearted people who would donate money. I hope these kind-hearted people would get back their money and the scammer is sent to jail where she should get the treatment she deserves.

I think fb does delete a lot of horrible people. Like here on mylot people take other peoples pictures and use them for not so nice things. My granddaugter has downes syndrome and I had put some cute pictures of her on my page and someone stole it and posted some awful things about kids with DS. I reported it to fb admin and they deleted that persons account. I use fb to talk to my kids and some friends. I wonder why the people who sent her money were so stupid. Good cause or not you have to be careful even on fb.

Unscrupulous people will prey on the gullible...
A year or two ago now, a young woman here in Hamilton pretended to have cancer and scammed a lot of money from people. She was prosecuted but I don't remember if she did jail time.

That is just awful, taking advantage of that massacre.. i hoe she does get what she deserved and that those money would be given back to those kindhearted people.. or at least given to the real families of the victims.. it is really hard to trust people especially on social sties..

your right, but will 20000000000 members at facebook, they could never look at all posts. It would never work that way. Im sure if they get a complaint they look at it. Happy new years...

but the first thing is that it is not right it is not fair on her part as she makes fun of people's trust.
It is simply inhumane.
why it is necessary to imagine a way it did not kgato not enough money You better ask somebody to give you than to do so.
nice day!
Happy new year!

Hi friend, i wonder why scams are using this tragic incident to make money. As you mentioned the lady was arrested for her mistake, if she is a wrong person she deserved for the punishment. We must be careful while donating our money, because lot of scams are available in this sort and they will take our money for their spending

Yeah, many scams on facebook are spreading. Because many people want to really get rich if you find someone asking you or recruiting you make sure you know him/her to prevent scams. Or to prevent murder/cyberbullying
