well this year instead of being at home with my husband and my kids i had to stay at my grandmas house. she has to have someone stay with her at all times and no one else could do it this year. not that that is a bad thing i love my grandma to death and she helps me with anything almost so i do not mind i am just a little sad not to be at home this year. tonight all i am doing is getting on mylot here and there and on facebook talking to my husband and a friend and watching tv. usually on this night me and my husband would set off fireworks and have finger foods and find a movie on tv or we would buy a movie or 2 just so we had something new to watch together. tonight he is at home and putting the kids to bed early we would usually let them stay up but they are young and will have many more chances in the future so he decided to hace some wuiet time tonight. i am going o call him at 11:55 so that we can still be talking when the new year hits. i miss being with him but atleast i will et to go home tomorrow around 2 so we wills till have some time together on this new years day. and i have to remember to call my mom tomorrow it is her birthday lol
so what are you doing this year for new years?
are you doing the same thing you did last year or changing it up a little and doing something new?
who are you spending you time with tonight to bring in the new year?

Sounds like you had a great start to the new year. Nothing better than spending time with the ones you love. Specially if you don't see them much anymore because they moved away. To bad you have to leave next month but hope your having a great time

It was a bit dull this year. My parents had out a bottle of chamagne but they both went to bed around 10;00. They said they were really tired. The girls were allowed to stay up as long as they kept quiet. We listened to fireworks, tried to see them but we couldn't. At one point it sounded like some of the fireworks had hit mine and their window and was going off, but we didn't see that either. The holidays have been a little depressing for us period.

I'm sorry that you didn't have much of a holiday season. I hope the new year will being New and more non depressing holidays and events in your life. if I was at home we would have been doing the same thing with trying to see the fireworks because we didn't buy any this year and no one around us ever has any.

My husband and I are going to a New Year's Party. First time in a long time. Now that we have an empty nest, we are free to go out whenever we want.
When we were raising kids, we often stayed at home for New Year's. As the kids got older, they could stay up until midnight.
I am sure your Grandma is happy that she has someone like you to be with her.
Anyways, I look forward to sleeping in tomorrow morning, not going to be getting up early after staying at a party until late. But we are looking forward to going to this party in a couple of hours.
