Oh, they wrong between you and your mum because you and her like to each other. You're not old. You have only grown. I think that more old every year is an interesting thing.

Fortunately I seem to have the opposite affect, people think I am much younger than I am, many a time people have thought I was in my late twenties/early thirties, when in actual fact I am 42 this year! People don't believe it when I tell them, I must admit I do look quite younger, I do have a few gray hairs, although I keep my hair real short so they don't really show. A positive way of looking at it, is that you don't look old, you look more 'mature'

Honestly, my mother and I do look very similar, but no one has ever told me that I look just like my mom. Instead, I have heard a lot of people say that I look just like my mother did when she was younger. The thing is, there have been times in the past that there have been people that have thought that I was not my mother's daughter but instead that I was my mother's younger sister. It is always something that makes me feel good because not only do I look a lot like my mother, I want to be just like her when I grow up.

Let's assume in this way. Someone recognized you as your mother because your mother is still looked young.
The other possibility is that you are the exact shadow of your mother because she is your biological mother. They still could differentiate you and your mother because you are very much younger than your mother.
ha! ha! We must always think positively.

My mom still looks pretty and dresses up like she is just in her 30's. So no one would guess that she is really in her 60's if they didn't know about me and my siblings. Some long time friends would say that me and my mom look like sisters. I do not know if I would be offended or be flattered. My mom is 22 years older than I am!

Just wait, pretty soon you look in the mirror and see your Mom. Or in my case my Grandma. That's a shocker for sure. There is a kind of comfort in that, what if you didn't know your parents, like many don't, then you would not recognize that person looking back at you. WoW!

As per your profile you are just 23, it is never old age, lol, daughters do look like as moms and sons like the dad; my son is 38, he is almost a carbon copy of mine, many confuse him as me, even wish him as 'Hi Prof' but this happens with those friends whom i have not met for last 30+ years lol
Thanks for sharing

Not that exact situation but someone here thought I was 40 years old when I am only 28! It bothered me so much for a little while. Lol. I didn't think I looked that much older than my age, most people tell me I look younger than my actual age...
It happens to all of us sometimes...

I met a woman my age once whom I had not seen for about 15 years, so we both looked older. However the problem that arose for me was that she looked just like her mother had looked when I knew the mother 15 years before. I inadvertantly called her by her mother's name. She was very upset about it. She did not realise of course that I was remembering her mother when she was more or less the age she had reached not as the old lady she had become.
Twenty four is too young to be worrying about getting older. Just remember to put a blob or two of moisturing cream on your face and neck. That will stop the clock running as far as your looks are concerned.

No i never facing that situation. My situation is different. Most people think i am high school student. I am 23 years old not 16 or 18 years old.

OMG, sweetheart, 24 is way to young to feel old. My daughter is almost 23 and while she and I do resemble one another I'm sure that's what the person meant, that you and your mum resemble. I do admit, my daughter hates it when people tell her she looks like me, but she really, really does!

You are still so young, 24 is a young age, don't you think so? Maybe you can do more exercise to keep you full of energy, don't be so sad about this, you are still young.
